Property had a few maintenance issues and placed us in a room with damage. Proper cleanliness was nearly impossible given the condition of the bathroom.
I checked in at 4:30, the clerk said that the building's water was out but promised it would be back on in an hour. As I had other plans, I got the key, then went out for a few hours. I returned at 9PM expecting to take a shower. But the water was still off. I went down to reception where there were 2 other guests and no receptionist. After a few minutes of chatting with the other guests, I learned that the water had been off for more than a day and was promised to have been turned back on at noon of the day before.
Finally the desk clerk came out and said to the other guest that we can give you a 15% discount for tonight's stay. I laughed at her and she went back into the office to talk to her manager.
I immediately left the hotel with a promise of a refund.
The manager was hiding in the back room the whole time leaving the poor desk clerk (this situation isn't her fault) to deal with the customers. There were no plumbers in sight or expectation that they would show up.
