Wonderful trip!

This was my first trip to Carolina Beach and I had no idea what different areas were like. This was a delightful home with ocean views and right at the beach access. Everything we needed was within walking or a 5 minute drive. Our plans were to travel to different places nearby to explore (the ferry, fort fisher, hiking trails, …..) however the home and the beach were so great we never made the excursions.

Great layout

We really enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms are spread out enough to where everyone has their own space and privacy. The living/kitchen area was comfortable for everyone to hang out... We did have an issue with not knowing how to access the garage when we first got there. But they were very responsive in getting back to us. (There is a key inside the home that opens the side of the garage and then you have to push the wall opener to open and close inside of the garage and then lock the door behind you) - a little inconvenient - but manageable :) I would recommend this place.

The master shower and downstairs bath shower did not seem very clean - master shower had significant mold. AC unit gave us fits halfway through the week, but the property managers were very responsive and got it back to normal working within 24hrs.

Perfect pre-season trip!

We stayed for 5 days right before the season started and luckily for us the weather was great! Being so close to the beach access allowed us to go down for a couple hours, come back up, and back down again with ease. The house was nicely decorated and welcoming. I liked that it was one a one way street so there wasn’t much thru traffic and it was quiet in the morning for coffee on the balcony. There was a pop up market at the lake we visited and it was a very short walk. This property is close enough to the boardwalk that you don’t have to drive but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. We recommend and would stay again! Thank you.

Labor Day Weekend

This property is all about location!!! We never moved our cars. Beautiful views ocean/sunsets. We were a party of 9 including 2 babies. Only neg is that the air conditioning does not work downstairs. All the bedrooms are down there except one. Upstairs works perfect. There are fans that made it doable. The light is out in the fridge. Would stay again.

Big Blue Review

Overall, Big Blue was pretty nice. The porch facing the ocean is the smallest porch on the house, though, which we thought was odd. You can't fit more than 3 chairs on it. No TV in the master suite, which isn't a deal breaker, but the WiFi didn't work in the master suite, either. It seemed adequate in the rest of the house. Direct access to the garage from the house would've been nice.

Fantastic location & super nice home

The house is right next to the beach entrance, so that's super convenient. The stores and ice cream shop are right around the corner within walking distance. Each floor of the house is very nice, well taken care of, and furnished nicely. A bonus is that the house has a deck on each end of the house, so you can see sunrise & sunsets!

Not for Families

The AC was not working upstairs when we arrived. Even after 2 different maintenance visits, the AC was not working. We went to sleep the first night with all the windows open upstairs and several fans on and it was still 76 degrees. On the second day we were offered a portable AC unit and that lowered the temperature significantly but only in the bedroom. The stairs in the condo are a HAZARD for small children without a gate. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

The location is awesome ! We had stayed in the #2 condo 3 years ago while it was still personally owned and loved it! This year we were in condo #1. Since then you can tell it is not near cared for. The front staircase entrance had a terrible odor and has trash and debris scattered. The kitchen faucet was loose and dishwasher gasket was dangling. Last morning of vacation was spent washing dishes by hand. We will not be staying here on the future.
