The good: Location is really good. Beachfront is beautiful. House is big with plenty of kitchen space, two fridges, and lots of dishes/pots and pans. Lots of beach toys and chairs to use. The bad: There is only one proper master. Two of the bedrooms don’t have en suite bathrooms and the guests have to walk across the kitchen and dining room to get to the bathroom. The linens are grey and quite old and worn. There are no comforters, only light quilts. The carpet is surprising for a beachfront home in that it’s pretty worn and dirty looking. Pool was not heated and took a day to warm up, losing a day. I was asked to manage the vendors directly for pool and elevator maintenance and also for the linens. Never had to do that before for any rental. Conclusion: at this price, I would look elsewhere.

Check in was super easy. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of beach chairs and a few umbrellas. There were beach toys and boogie boards. I do wish they supplied more than one bath towel, hand towel and washcloth. It would be nice also if there was an umbrella for the pool’s sun shelf. We brought our own. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely return.

Something for Everyone!

The Chateau was great for our multifamily, multigenerational time together. We enjoyed preparing and sharing family dinners in the well equipped kitchen (and outdoor grill) with a huge table (two birthday celebrations too). Used the covered porch and outdoor table for games, visiting, and remote work. And lots of reading on the porch - what a gorgeous view! The pool, beach, corn hole, pool table, hammock, TV room - all very welcoming and allowed time together as well as personal space! Plenty of parking too. Any questions or things that needed taken care of were taken care of quickly. This was not a problem for our family but renters should be aware that the two main floor bedrooms do not have their own bathrooms. A plus that the beach area is guarded by the helpful and qualified Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue. Thank you for sharing the Chateau with us!

Great Family Time!

Our family of 13 recently wrapped up our week-long stay at Snow's Cut Chateau and it was a fantastic getaway for everyone! The property itself is amazing and provides the atmosphere of your own private beachside retreat. Our family ranged from 18 to 80 years old and there were places for everyone. Whether we were on the beach, in the pool or spending early mornings enjoying the sunrise on the expansive patio there was a place for everyone to soak in the surroundings and relax. Dale, our host and his team, were top notch! He was so responsive prior to and during our visit. We've stayed in many properties over the years and Dale is best in class for sure! It was a great week of creating more cherished memories for our family! Thank you Snow's Cut Chateau.

60th Anniversary

Snow's Cut Chateau was very clean and open. We had 12 adult family members that made good use of all of the amenities and enjoyed it very much. It was a little tight maneuvering the minivan and pickup truck but we got by. This was a very memorable event for our entire family.

Can't beat the pool + beach combo!

What a lovely home! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and proximity to the beach. My family of 12 easily fit within the home and loved the local activities such as street fair with fireworks, surfing lessons in front of the house, jet skiing, SS Carolina tour, etc. Highly recommend the property and the area. We will return for sure!

Amazing home with a perfect location

I can't say enough positive things about this home. It exceeded my expectations (which were high to begin with). It was well stocked with everything we needed, including beach chairs, toys for the kids, umbrellas, etc. The beach was just steps away. The A/C was so nice, not a single room was lacking and there were 4 thermostats. It was super hot and sunny the week we were there so this was important. The deck off of the main level was our main gathering place and we all played cornhole (boards were provided) right on the deck and there's so much seating that everyone was involved...even when they weren't playing. If there was one suggestion, it would be to add ceiling fans on that deck. We played pool quite a bit and all (11 of us) gathered to watch a movie one night, with plenty of seating for all. We loved the TV in the family room. I could go on all day about everything we loved but I'll close with the pool. Simply gorgeous!! The view of it at night with the automatic blue lighting was breathtaking. Thank you for the use of your gorgeous home!

Great family vacation home!

A perfect place to enjoy a week of sun and fun with our children and grandchildren. The pool and beach access are a highlight and were enjoyed by the little ones (2 & 5) the teens and the adults. There are lots of sand toys and pool floats kept in the pool bath which is great for those traveling by plane. The house is beautiful and easily accommodated our group of 12. The kitchen has lots of space and 2 refrigerators for those that want to use their culinary skills. Close access to restaurants, shops and the boardwalk are a plus. Listening to the sound of the waves crashing while sitting on any of the decks is highlight not to be missed. The owners have created a lovely property in a prime location for others to enjoy!

Beach house

Love the house. Great kitchen, appliances are great, the house was well stocked. Only recommendation is to change description of bedrooms and bath. The site said two bedrooms shared a bath. We were surprised to find that isn’t so. Thought besides that it was really lovely.

You know about the planks breaking on the walkway out to the beach, no issues, thanks for getting people out to fix them. The other thing I noticed is I think the door handles from the garage to the foyer and the garage to the bathroom should be reversed. The way it is now, if the outside bathroom door is not locked a person can get access to the house.

Great house but bring some extras of your own

Property was great and the house easily accommodated all 15 of us. Only concerns we had were around linens (no dish towels, no hand towels in powder room, and bath towels provided were on the small side!). The AC vents blow above some of the beds and there are no extra blankets (we went out and bought some extras). A couple general recommendations - have an extra fridge (maybe in the garage); small for the amount of food we had for everyone. And the trundle bed should be in the back room on the 2nd floor. Having it in the front room gave the kids the balcony and ocean view over the adults!

Incredible property

This house has it all. Ideal setup and no need to leave. Only possible downsides are that it easily the nicest place around and the property management/rental company did not function quite up to the level of the property.

The best family vacation house in Carolina Beach

If you are looking for a house that has everything, is centrally located to the best and quietest part of the beach, has a beautiful pool looking out to the ocean with pool table and massive kitchen, fire pit, etc, then this is the place for your family vacation. We stayed with three generations of family here, including my mother who is 80 years old and had the bedroom on the first floor looking out the ocean. While our group consisted of people from age 12 to 80, there are lots of toys for use on the beach and baby gates on the lower deck for kids of all ages. The kitchen is massive with tons of eating space for a large group both outside on the lower deck and in the kitchen area. Dale, the property manager, is very attentive and will provide information on anything that your group may need. While we didn't take full advantage of the third floor area there is an entire floor of beds for younger kids. Plus, they have their own bathroom and shower. If all of that is not enough there is even an elevator for any elderly or handicapped guests to get to all the floors of the house save the third. If you are like me and want to stay at the best locations with the greatest amenities, then this is the house for you.
