We had a wonderful vacation in beautiful Cartagena, but this would not have been possible at any hotel other than GHL Arsenal. This hotel is the best: the rooms are well maintained, clean, and smell wonderful. The location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk (8 min) from the walled city, the same for the most attractive part of Getsemaní, and about a 14-minute walk from the marina where the boats depart. The service is excellent from all the staff, who are friendly and courteous. I would like to give a special mention to Pomponio, an extremely kind and helpful gentleman who treated us wonderfully, thank you! Note: The breakfast buffet is out of this world. Pay 5 stars and get 3.

That is a 5 star hotel supposedly, but I’ve been to 3 star hotels that were better. The A/C in my room wasn’t working properly, no matter how high you’d set the temperature, the room was always freezing. The shower head was spilling water all around, except down below. The shower drain was also too small, making any 5 minutes shower become a pool. The breakfast was poor in options, some days there was someone pouring coffee at your table, some days not. The fruits were kind of flavourless, and the last day there was just one type of cheese(the one nobody wanted the day before). The rooms were clean late afternoon, almost the time we were coming back from tours and walks, the room floors were usually left soak and wet excessively and just one towel was left for me and my wife. The proximity to the Walled City is good, but that also brings a lot of noise. They were having concerts every night at the “Pegasus Muelle”, with loud music. I wouldn’t say it’s the worst ever, but for the price paid it should be better.

The amazing staff is what makes this property great. Fabian is a huge asset to this hotel always going out of his way for guests , communicating and assisting. He is absolutely top level and future upper management. All staff smile and greet and create a welcoming experience Ledis (camarera), Faber (Mantenimiento), Katherine (recepción), Maria Fernanda (restaurante), stood out with attention to detail and going out of their way for guests daily.

This hotel is super clean. The staff is super friendly. It was my friend’s birthday and the staff went up the room with a cake and sang Happy birthday. That was a very nice surprise! The hotel is close to everything. The pool area is well kept and is a vibe. Is great after walking around in the Cartagena heat. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. 10/10

Would definitely stay here again!! Very safe and very convenient. The customer service was 10/10. The front desk was always there to open the door for you even at 4am when you’re coming from a night out. They don’t let outside visitors go up to your room which made me and my friend feel very safe.
