The Liberty Hotel is located in a relatively quiet section of the City Center in Catania. It is walkable to the Piazza del Duomo yet far enough away that you do not feel overrun by tourists. What really makes this hotel shine is the staff. Antonio and Marco were so helpful to us. They always took the time to explain things and were very concerned about the quality of our experience. This hotel is a fine choice for quality, value, and service if you're looking to vacation in beautiful Catania, Sicilia.

It's a B&B more than a hotel. Terrible breakfast, little variety and bad coffee. Good location, although the street where it is located is very ugly. The shower, excessively small, you can't move your arms to soap yourself and even less try to dry yourself inside. Friendly but insufficient employees, only one at breakfast.

The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We really appreciated the excellent guidance on which areas to visit in Catania. Enjoyed the breakfast. Enjoyed finishing off each evening with a glass of Dero D'Avola in the lovely bar area. The hotel's location is not the best, but it's not far to walk to the main amenities and central areas. The metro is only a few minutes' walk away so it's easy to get to the bus station for a day trip to Taormina or Syracusa. One word of warning: the directions on Google Maps in is incorrect. It means the taxi will drop you off about 15 mins walk away (too far with suitcases). This is not the fault of Liberty Hotel. Give the taxi driver the address rather than the hotel name. Very spacious and well appointed rooms which are beautifully decorated and furnished as is the reception and breakfast area. The staff were great and extremely helpful. There are no lunch or dinner facilities but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Easy to walk to the city centre being just over 1km away but downhill so be prepared for the walk back.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff

Outstanding hotel. Located walking distance to all of the sights, the hotel really helped make our first trip to Catania one to remember. They upgraded our room, provided us with directions and dining recommendations. When we wanted to see a teatro du pupi they helped arrange a reservation on a local show down the street. The room was spacious and art deco with a patio. Breakfast was delicious and they made eggs and coffee upon request. Highly recommend!
