The house was better than described. The pictures donât show just how large these rooms are. The vaulted ceiling what beautiful. The house is stocked with so much more than listed. From the kitchen to games and activities. Our only issue was that the AC unit upstairs was out. Of course no oneâs fault and we were contacted the day we were to check in about the issue. We chose to stay anyway due to my sons wedding and we were hosting the groomsmen. They all stayed downstairs with working AC so they were fine. We opened windows and used fans so it was bearable upstairs. Again, no fault to owners. Things happen.
I would absolutely stay here again if I was going to be in the area.
The wooded setting was so peaceful and we saw a bear rummaging around at edge of yard in the woods one morning .
What an amazing home. We were in the area for our daughters wedding and had a lot of reception preparations to do. The kitchen is huge and has so much counter and table space we had over 10 people in the kitchen working and there was room for more! We also ended up having a family dinner with 20-25 people during all the wedding prep and everyone was able to sit down and eat. The only let down is the double oven is not a true double oven. The top oven is a microwave oven combo and only as wide as a microwave. The home is open and spacious and has beautiful landscaping and views. When the weather was questionable we actually planned to use it as a back up for the wedding pictures. (Luckily the rain cleared!).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at DuPont Mountain Lodge! The property is immaculate and provides a stunning view. The bedrooms are very spacious and the rental is set up nicely for a large group of people. My only caution (which didnât pose a problem for us) is the driveway has loose rock and is very steep. I would recommend driving a vehicle with 4-wheel drive.
