Beautiful home! Very clean, everything I needed. Cozy feel. The best part is the deck right on the water. Spectacular views of the moon shining right on the water. Very peaceful sitting there in the morning with my cup of coffee. The hosts were wonderful and so gracious. The only thing i gave less than 5 stars was the location right on a main, busy road. But once inside you dont even know its there. All your concentration is on the back deck. I had my pups with me and they enjoyed themselves as well. I will definitely be back and booking with these owners.
Great location if you are interested in kayak fishing. For the cost and location, it is definitely good. The interior is a mix, there are some very modern features buts the floor was fairly damaged and there was a slight plumbing issue. Overall, would recommend it if your focus is on fishing or access to the water.
The access to the water and the views were phenomenal. We loved fishing off of the dock and having our morning coffee in the cozy sunroom that overlooked the waters. The host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond. It was our very first time using VRBO and we will be using this host again for our next family vacation!
The manager of this property is very kind and quick to respond. The cottage is overall very cute and clean. The traffic can be pretty bothersome, I know some of the semis that went by SLIGHTLY rattled the bedroom walls.
The kayaks and jon boat is a lovely touch. We took them out morning/night and it proved to be extremely relaxing.
Thereâs lots of quick dining options and grocery stores less than 10 minutes away.
Truly the only negatives about the property were the noisiness of the road, some minor cleaning issues, the washer and dryer didnât work and the water pressure in the kitchen was only a trickle.
For everything you get out of this cute little cottage, Iâd consider it a win. We were very happy with our stay and should we find ourselves in the area again, would definitely rent it again.
It was a fun experience to stay in such a unique spot. My teen and I enjoyed the kayaks at sunset. And waking up to that view was lovely. Our hosts had a lot of nice touches with the coffee station, snacks and nice bath products. (And while the location is a little unusual, road traffic wasnât really too bad with the air conditioning on.) it was really cool to stay right on the water in a former fishing cabin, while still being easily able to explore Swansboro, Cedar Point and Emerald Isle.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this little house on the water. The kayak was a hit with our little ones who also loved to watch the crabs scurry. Swansboro, with cute restaurants and shops, is only minutes down the main road on which the house sits. Would definitely recommend!
This little cottage was the best stay for our little family of 3. The toys in the house were a perfect addition for our 6 year old. The kayaks were amazing, we used them everyday! We were very sad to leave.
This appears from photos as a 3 bed accommodation. It is not. There is a small, foldable cot for a third bed, but did not feel suitable for use. The location is great out the back, but the front is right up to a busy 5 lane road. It might be a good spot for some but was not great for our research team.
We enjoyed our stay. The owners were easily accessible for any issues. The back yard area is nice as it is very scenic, peaceful and private (there are neighbors next door, but separated by a high fence). Great place for the dog, and we loved throwing the net out for bait fish.It is convenient to everything.
This property was wonderful. It was clean and quaint. The hosts were awesome and easy to reach when needed. Due to the weather we were not able to take out the john boat or kayaks, but we will have to do so the next time we come. The cottage was perfect and in a great location, close to multiple things to do and see. The trip was awesome. Thank you
Nice and cozy, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. Parking and traffic was not the greatest. Overall would recommend for the water location and coziness, but bring earplugs for sleeping and be very careful pulling out of the driveway.
Came down to bring gifts for family, who live here. It was great with the cute tree. Could put presents under for great grandson. It was perfect for our pets. Would stay again. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time staying at this waterfront cottage. So much thought was put into the way it was furnished and supplied--from the very comfortable bed, to the well-equipped kitchen, to the snacks on the counter. We enjoyed the view and the opportunity to kayak out to Shark Tooth Island and pick up some prehistoric souvenirs! We sent pictures to our friends and family and they assumed we were on a boat given the proximity to the water. The host was organized and made sure we had all the info we needed to have a completely worry-free stay. This was our dog's first vacation and he enjoyed it as much as we did! Any concerns we had about the busy road were mitigated by the enclosed front porch and soundproofing that kept us comfortable and our dog well contained. We will definitely be back to this area, either to this property or another one owned by the same host!
