We were charged to check in early, then they forgot to check us in, which ended up in our room being given away while we were still in it! Not impressed, management said they would contact us but never did.

This hotel was clean and comfortable although somewhat dated. Parking was excellent and FREE it's location in Ballston was GREAT! Very convenient to public transportation into D.C. with many upscale restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location, older hotel. Smelled like cigarettes as soon as you walked in and also on our floor (3rd). There was a crib left in our room and urine in the toilet. The toilet did not work. We were moved to a different room.

This hotel is a very affordable option for those wanting to visit Arlington or DC. It’s less than a mile from the metro - walking distance to the heart of Ballston. Room was clean and comfortable. It was reasonably quiet. It’s great if you are just looking for a place to sleep. The only two issues that keep this from being a 5-star for me are parking and elevators. Parking is tight and if you get in late, you have to park underneath the building. I felt relatively safe, but it looked sketchy. There are 2 elevators, but one was broken and and the other was slow. Very slow. During breakfast hours, I waited for 10 minutes. I eventually gave up and took the stairs. The stairs are weird, too. Couldn’t tell which floor to get out - and eventually exited to the outside and walked around to the lobby.

Unexpected charge at check-in. I had called ahead for early check-in and was told that that would be fine. They could let me in at 12 o’clock. I showed up at 12 o’clock And was asked for $35 for an early check-in. I asked to see the manager and said that he know what he told me about this when I asked for early check in. They finally let us in about 130.

Only one of two elevators were working. Hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. Way over priced. Bathroom too small you bump into door trying to get to tub or toilet. Positives are excellent and safe location, free parking and free breakfast, rooms were quiet . Tv remote did not work to change channels.

I occasionally stay here when visiting my daughter. I appreciate the free parking and WiFi. The property itself could use some updating. On my last visit, only one elevator was working. Everything in my room was clean and comfortable and the staff is always helpful.

It certainly was not. Non-smoking hotel. Smoke was wafting into our room under doors and through vents. Had to put a towel under door and sleep with windows open at 40 degrees. Maids did fine-just an old beat up hotel. Rust around tub paint.

The breakfast was very good. The hallways smelled like Dog pee on level 200. The staff were very kind and friendly. The room was clean. The furniture and overall property were worn down and needing repair and an serious update.
