Thereâs an apartment attached to the house. This information is not included in the listing. Luckily the tenant was quiet and not seen, but if you are looking for a private stay, this isnât it. Otherwise nice stay!
Absolutely loved the house. We were very comfortable there. The owner was great with communication of directions and response to our questions. It was beastly hot so unfortunately we didnât get to enjoy the outside property. The only issue we had with the house was with bugs. We encountered a few spiders, little wormy things and a couple of roaches. Iâm sure itâs tough to stay on top of pest control, Iâm just skeeved out by bugs! Also would make the suggestion of putting grab bars in the shower. It would add a good deal of security for older people (like me). We wholeheartedly recommend the Cozy Bungalow! PS My favorite spot to hang was the sunroom (off the dining room). It was a lovely little slice of Heaven.
I was surprised to see the house split with a neighbor but the stay was perfect, nice and quiet with a random car or two from the nearby road. Ive lived in the city and this was no problem, but light sleepers beware. The king size mattress has a bit of a sinking issue in the middle but it was only a mild inconvenience. Overall, we would gladly return.
My grandsons and I spent the weekend playing in Chapel Hill. This was a perfect base of operations. After each excursion we return to a comfortable home with lots of room to spread out. I recommend you stay here. We will on our next visit.
Our group had a great stay! East check in-out, comfy atmosphere and decor. It feels like youâre visiting an older relative that lives very simply with the comforts of modern amenities. I slept in the king size bed, and it was a dream.Iâd come back.
Cute house, considerate host, location a little noisy
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this adorable little house off 15-501. There were some nice touches that made it feel like a real home, such as interesting art and photographs, a record player, and a collections of books and videos. The owner took special care to accommodate our needs and was very responsive to communication. The outdoor spaces were nice and the trampoline was a fun addition. It can be quite difficult to find anywhere at all to stay in the Chapel Hill area during the school year, so we were grateful to find this.We did want to share two things to be aware of if you are considering staying. One is that the house is right next to the highway and there is a lot of traffic noise at all hours, especially in the front master bedroom. The thoughtfully-provided ear plugs were enough to contain it for me, but my husband had trouble sleeping. The smaller bedroom at the back of the house seemed to be quieter. The other thing is that if you are staying for a while and doing a lot of dishes, the dishwasher is portable and you have to follow instructions to hook it up before you can use it. This was no problem for us as we did not use many dishes and just washed by hand, but it might be for some, so I thought I'd mention it.Overall we were still quite happy with our choice.
Charming little house. The host has thought of everything you might need. Excellent communication via the property manager. I wish we had more time there to enjoy the deck and outdoor seating/fire pit but we were too busy with family we had come to visit. Highly recommend!
We were so happy with the Cozy Bungalow. Rain and Sam were fantastic hosts.
We traveled during hurricane Helene and knew we would get in late. They made sure to leave lights on for us and gave perfect directions to find the driveway.
We had only one reason to call about an issue and they were right on it. And they had so many extras at the house just in case you forgot something. Multiple charging cords in the bedroom and living room were appreciated!
We only spent a short amount of time at the house because we were checking out possible retirement neighborhoods, but would definitely return for some relaxation.
Perfect location if you're in the area for sports events or local golf options.
Communication leading up to check-in through checkout was spot on.
House amd facility was clean, well appointed.
Unique craftsman cottage near Fearrington and Chapel Hill
Stayed just one night to enjoy dinner at Fearrington for our anniversary. Would give 5 stars except that, the first hour we were there, we were not able to relax due to loud construction being done on the deck - which appeared to be a complete rebuild. The host was responsive, but it did not get our short stay off the way we had hoped.
Rain is a great communicator, and the rental is spacious and cozy. It was a wonderful gathering spot to visit our adult children in the area and had everything we needed to prepare a meal together. Thank you!
The home was perfect for our stay. When we arrived, we noticed coffee, and breakfast groceries in the refrigerator and freezer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We spent four incredible days. Thank you so much to our Host, who made sure we were welcome.
I knew the place was older and vintage looking, but some things I did not expect. Like killing bugs while showering and seeing them on the floors in certain areas. I was also highly disappointed when I arrived because many windows had no curtains or shear curtains. This made me feel highly uncomfortable being that the home was surrounded by trees and I have never stayed here before. All night I was thinking that someone would be looking inside the home. Overall, decent stay, just a little scary for me.
Five stars all around. The property is conveniently located close to UNC Chapel Hill and within a few miles of the campus center. The property manager/owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will be staying again every time we come back to Chapel Hill.
