This tiny house was just as described. Clean and located close enough to everything if youâre good with a little longer walk. It is small and perfect for 2 people. Communication was prompt and easy to reach by computer and phone. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location, we walked everywhere. Cute cottage, had everything we needed.Only recommendation is to get the water pressure in the shower checked out.
Overall I was pleased with the choice. Location wise it was really conveniently located to King St. so we could walk safely. However it was a bit noisy at night. Mostly traffic noise. The place is like a tiny house which was just fine for us, very nice and cozy. The water pressure in the shower was ridiculously low. It would have taken me hours to wash my long, thick hair!!!! The heater was not very efficient either but we did not freeze...it just took a while to crank up I guess....Overall it was a great experience.
This cottage in Charleston has everything you need for a couple to enjoy their stay. The central location is perfect for access to all the âmust seesâ as well as within walking distance to several restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay. The Vrbo was just like the photos...very clean & comfortable. We loved riding the bikes around the city and the location was great for walking too - near many great businesses...a 10-25 minute walk still got you everywhere you needed to be in the "historic Charleston" area.
A cute tiny house in a great location, but prepare for loud neighborhood noise
This was a cute home that we would recommend for a couple, but can work for others if theyâre okay sleeping on a couch. The garden area was nice to have. It was a great location, next to a delicious bagel place! A couple other reviews warned of the noise in the neighborhood, we booked anyway thinking that other guests might have been more sensitive. We must admit, the noise was quite disruptive in the night with people going out and in the morning when people were headed to work. It would have been appreciated if the listing described the neighborhood activity and noise more transparently so we were more prepared.
Everything was as advertised. Perfect location. Clean, adorable, comfortable accommodations. Loved having bikes!! Even the day when parking was iffy (Sunday) was zero problem: plenty of free parking on street. Property managers always responded super quickly to every question. Nice amenities (from toiletries to streaming TV to kitchenette). Would recommend and would definitely rent again!! A++!
Itâs not large- but itâs large enough! Itâs a great location, just a few blocks to King Street. Great walkable neighborhood setting, parking, and a bagel shop for breakfast at the corner. How perfect! Quick easy on back to the freeway.
A lovely hideaway in a super accessible part of town. Great space for a solo adventure, and especially loved the small courtyard. Would definitely come back!
Centrally located. Able to walk or catch the free shuttle with ease. Street is a bit noisy but we were able to sleep. Definitely a place for one or two people at most.
Great central location with terrific restaurants (especially Chez Nous) close by. But it really is a tiny place--no closets, no table--with furnishings that are only adequate. Could do much better! Communication with the management company not great. One example: the description highlights bikes! But nothing in the apartment tells where the bikes are. A message to the owner/company is promptly answered with 'in the shed.' Shed? What shed? Another email responds that it's at a building several blocks away. Fortunately, a worker from the company was able to help out (it wasn't obvious where the shed was). We had reserved 6 nights, but airline problems got us there 3 days late. Our problem (no travel insurance) but the response from the owner was disappointing: no refund at all, no extension, no credit; just 'too bad.' Understandable, perhaps, but the emails on day 1 (when we were still at home) asking how our stay was going and after we checked out (warning about cold weather) were annoying, more signs of a big management company. Overall, would not recommend.
Perfect stay for a couple. Area is very walkable. Parking. Was able to stop by and drop things off/get changed on our way to the next stop easily. Checking in and leaving was seamless and took seconds. Will stay here next time!
This is just the cutest little cottage ever! My husband and I came for our honeymoon and were very comfortable and happy with this choice. Itâs tiny but mighty! The neighborhood is great - pretty quiet but still within walking distance to King St and many shops and restaurants. Weâd definitely stay here again.
Spent four days in Charleston for a sisterâs trip. This location was perfect. A block away from King Street, and an easy 30 minute walk to Market Street, yet still far enough from college housing to be fairly quiet. The house sleeps four, but it may feel a bit cramped with that many adults. We were also a bit disappointed that there did not seem to be bikes included on the property as the listing suggested. Overall, very easy process to check in and out and the owners provided plenty of communication ahead of and during the trip.
A friend and I stayed in this charming, centrally located cottage and were quite impressed. Clean, well-equipped and really cute, it is located steps from restaurants, groceries and bakeries. Donât miss sitting in the lovely, brick patio and enjoying an afternoon glass of wine or morning coffee! This space has Charleston charm written all over! Great neighborhood for walking and biking and the host was solicitous and responsive!
I recommend this to anyone as it was so close to King street and many restaurants that were joys to discover. The use of space was amazing. There was storage and âbest use of spaceâ in every nook and cranny. I loved the high quality bed, bedding, bathroom, kitchen. The only downside was the water pressure in bathroom sink and the temperature in shower was difficult to adjust. It would be fine, then get really hot, so knob would have to be adjusted a little, then too cold. We spoke to caretakers of place regarding this matter and hopefully they can take care of issues. The foliage, beauty, patio and outside was stunning.
Cute little place to stay and loved the location! The property manager was easy to get a hold of and communicate with. It was a little smaller than expected but it is perfect for 2, maybe 3 people. Would stay there again.
There was excellent communication before, during and after our stay. The check in process was easy with clear directions given in advance. The parking lot was just around the corner and convenient. The hot water heater was not working when we first tried to shower but we messaged our VRBO contact and they had someone out right away and had it replaced before we got back from our evening out. It was the perfect small but quaint home in Charleston and had all the necessities. It was in a great location to easily navigate through the city and to access major expressways.
Know that I've never left a poor review. I do use other reviews to help me navigate vacation rentals so I feel obligated to share.
PRO: It is clear that the owner has done some nice renovations for this studio that is quite small. It is obvious that choices were made to maximize the space and maintain attractiveness.
CON: Upon arrival, there was a painting crew working on the main house as well as the detached cottage. We had to navigate around their equipment and debris into the cottage. After a long trip, we wanted to take a quick nap before heading out for the evening. Not able to do that because the crew began scraping the paint off the windows of our cottage. About an hour after arriving, I received a message from the property manager that this crew was running late with their project, would wrap up quickly, and be gone for our stay. Unfortunately, this activity continued for several more hours so we surrendered any hope of peace and eventually left. I was annoyed but figured it was over. Wrong! 2 days later the crews were back scraping our windows. Communication to the property manager resulted in a halt. However, the crew came back again later that day - disturbing! Bottom line - while the property manager expressed empathy (and comped the cleaning fee), it was a very disappointing experience and disrupted 2 of 3 days. Had I known about renovations, I would have canceled the reservation. It was unfair to have not alerted before my arrival.
