The location was wonderful. Right next to a little restaurant called fuel and coffee shops. Walking distance to king street (about a mile) where all the shops are. The beds were comfy and it had everything you needed especially when traveling with young kids. Highly recommend :)
Lovely flat downtown, within walking distance of all my favorite restaurants such as R Kitchen, Chubbyfish, Verns, and Chez Nous. Parking is very convenient just behind the property.
This location is ideal for someone needing a place to stay if family of MUSC patient or having Dr. visits. We found the apt to be very clean, attractively furnished and adequate for our needs. We had an issue with Wi-Fi one evening. However it was resolved quickly by a very friendly host and a quick responding tech. Thank you YOURPAD employees
While the location was great and the furnishings were as listed, the state of the unit itself is extremely embellished. Some call it "historic Charleston charm" while others call it a hazard. The death trap of a staircase up to the unit leads you to an uneven porch, where unattended luggage will roll down the slant and tumble all the way back down the stairs. The floors within the unit are uneven and have multiple old covered doorframes that tripped all of us. "Landlord special" is the name of the game here - Chipping paint slapped over old rotting windows, stained ceilings, dirty baseboards, definitely gave us the ick and felt completely mislead. Whoever edited the photos of this unit were not paid enough. WiFi doesn't work so the smart TV included in your stay is useless, and I hope you have unlimited data. This place may also have the tiniest bathroom I have ever been in. Would NOT stay again and would NOT recommend to anyone.
There were some cleanliness concerns, mostly with kitchen dishes and utensils. Kitchen light didnât work. Saw a few bugs in the place. Communicated these to the owner but they were not resolved during our stay. Overall the place is old but condition okay. Liked the location.
Location was great for us! Walked to everything downtown. We had a rental car also to do some site seeing which we were glad we did. Host was very responsive with questions answered!
The host of this property was super nice and communication was always immediate and clear. This property is probably ideal for most people but there were some things about it that were less than satisfactory for us. I chose it for the location and honestly, we still drove to most anywhere we went. Depending on your plans, you could possibly rent something cheaper further out. But if you want to be downtown, this is a great location. The listing does mention the sloped porch but I am pretty sure there is way more slope there then is normal. We honestly did not feel safe walking on the porch or lounging outside. Inside the home, be aware that the kitchen is very sparcely supplied. There is only one large non-stick skillet, a few pots/pans, cups, glasses, plates, silverware, couple of mixing bowls. There is nothing provided to store any leftovers in, no plasticware at all, so make sure you allow for that. There is only one plug to the left of the sink so you have to move all your appliances over there to use them. There is no dining table but a bar and two barstools. The dryer works well however, for some reason it would deposit some lint back onto our clothes. The water pressure is adequate, but nothing to brag about. This is an older home and they have done a lot to keep the interior more modern looking, but just be aware that it still has a lot of older home "charm" to it. The beds were incredibly modern and comfortable.
Just came to town for work and wanted to be a little closer to all of the action. Comfy beds, good WiFi, easy parking access⊠thatâs all I needed. Easy walk to resultants close by, I was with my aunt so we ubered to our destinations which were quick 10 minute rides. It is an older home but isnât that part of the charm of the city? Slept surprisingly well because the king bed was so comfortable, surprising because it can get loud outside of the house with traffic and construction.
Property was clean and check in was a breeze. Location is within a quick walk to all of the downtown shopping and restaurants. Comfortable and affordable!
Our unit was nestled in the heart of it all. Easy walk to King St with shopping and restaurants galore. The upstairs unit was filled with quirky original details and was very comfortable. Perfect size for 4 people.
We all enjoyed our stay here very much. The home was clean and historic with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The air condition and shaded porch was a welcome retrieve from the heat of the summer. The property was in close proximity of everythere we wanted to do while in Charlston. If we visit again, we will definitly return here!
Great location! Lots to walk to close by and an easy uber to everything we wanted to see including Folly Beach and Boone Hall Plantation. Easily slept 6 adults and beds were very comfortable.
