This is an old, disjointed house. There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor, and 3 on the lower floor. There are 2 small kitchens, 1 down stairs and 1 upstairs. The 10 adults did not have a common area large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably or seated together. The sinks in 2 of the bathrooms are so small that washing your hands and face were difficult. Two of the bathrooms had showers that were also very small. Two bathrooms had showers in the free standing that were slanted downward. There were kitchen utensils, dishes, coffee makers as stated, but very little room to cook. The 10 of us made do and acclimated to the less than expected accommodations.
Overall a great experience, very old house so some layout quirks but nothing major, great location near King st but with that location comes overnight noise especially for the front bedrooms on the weekend.
We had such wonderful evening in this charming Charleston rental. Everything was neat and clean and the great location provided so many food and entertainment options within a short walk. Would stay again!
The house and location were great for our group. The house is set up more like individual apartments which worked out nicely. Highly recommend and communication was great.
We came to town for a naval graduation and the property worked out great! Perfect location to walk to everything and having Holey Bagels across the street was amazing!
The house is located in a great area - extremely walkable and close to King Street. Beautiful finishings, comfortable beds. 2nd floor porch that was great for sitting. Would definitely recommend!
Ample bathrooms. AC worked well. Clean. Toiletries well-stocked. Ample linens. Good location between downtown and Citadel. Quirky things: Both kitchens are small. If you plan to cook, bring things with you and expect to be cramped. King BR door wonât close unless heavy sleeper sofa is moved. Quirky layout due to home sectioned off into âhotel unitsâ. Rooms are nicely decorated though. Itâs Charleston, so the house is old. Foundation settling. Floors are slanted a bitâespecially in King Bath so be careful getting in/out of tub. Upper balcony also slanted so be careful not to tip anything cylindrical over (soda can, water bottle or JBL speaker), it will roll right off. Water pressure was poor. Ice trays wouldâve been nice, since thereâs no ice maker. Joggle board has crack on one of the supports so we didnât risk sitting on it. More rockers on the upper porch would have been nice. Outdoor seating for four people only. Description of room layouts wasnât quite as described on website. There is one sleeper sofa in a small LR just outside the King bedroom. Also another small sleeper sofa for one adjacent to downstairs kitchen. Really tough to fit 12 family members into any of the living spaces so just be advised if thatâs your intent. Parking is behind house in church parking lot and youâre not able to park there from 8 AM to 3 PM on Sunday. Not a big deal, but just a heads up. Stay was nice, but I want to help others prepare.
The overall stay was great. Property was convenient to activities that we planned. The only issue we noticed was that the middle of the house stayed much cooler than the ends.
