The location is excellent, cannot be beat, and that alone deserves 5 stars. It is a classic Charleston home with all the charm. Bathrooms and kitchen are all updated, which is nice. Also surprising, was how comfortable the beds were. Having private, tucked away parking, that was also priceless. Would we stay here again and recommend this place? Sure!
We loved staying in this beautiful decorated home. I enjoyed sitting out on the porch. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. It was a short walk to all of the downtown activities and restaurants.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! The home had everything we could need, and was lovely. We walked everywhere and enjoyed sitting on the beautiful porch in the mornings. Thank you for a great weekend!
this place was perfect. Iâll start with the location because we wanted to see Charleston, rainbow row. Kings Street, South of Broad, etc. It was within walking distance of everything. the unit was very clean, bathrooms were fantastic, plenty of space, clean linens and towels. It was me and my daughters, 22, 20 and 16 and it was a very memorable trip. A nice wine bar right across the street was just an added treat.
We had a lovely time walking around Charleston and did our best to boost the King Street economy. The location was excellent. We must have overlooked the fact that this was a second floor unit which would normally be not a problem for our able bodied family. The only access, however, is an outdoor staircase that is very narrow in places and extremely dark at night. Toting luggage up the stairs was difficult and would be impossible for someone used to simply rolling their luggage from an elevator. We stayed in the large master with the comfortable king sized bed on the street end of the house. Right outside the bedroom windows is an extremely bright LED streetlight which the Roman shade window treatments did little to dampen. Patrons at the restaurant across the street stayed late plus the 3:30 am street sweeper and dumpster trucks roaring and banging outside makes for a less than restful sleeping environment.
Unfortunately our stay was short but what a location. It is walking distance to most everything in this historic city. Lots of food and night life options as well. The rental is very old and does show some of the wear and tear but well decorated with antiques and comfortable. Would be nice to have some time to sit out on the large porch and listen to the city.
The location was central and easy to get everywhere and having off-street parking was great. The apartment was clean but needs maintenance. Specifically, there were holes in the walls that need to be spackled, fixtures in the bathroom falling away from the drywall, drawers missing, drawer handles broken or missing, room fans broken or not working, rocking chairs broken on the porch.
Wonderful old house with lots of wood and character, but with modern kitchen, bathrooms, and conveniences. Large space, well stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and linens, good WiFi. Great location about midway on the main King Street, no car needed to visit the whole downtown peninsula. The rental property is on the second floor. Great communications with host that provided plenty of clear, thoughtful information. Thanks!
Nice unit in a charming old Charleston house. Older home charm located close to everything in downtown. We were able to walk everywhere which was enjoyable. Host was very helpful and accomadating.
The house on Society Street was a pleasure to stay in. The house is old with lots of character. If you're looking for a brand new place, this isn't it. The house was charming, clean, and well maintained. The location is perfect to walk or ride bikes to downtown Charleston. The host communicated everything timely and clearly. We had zero issues and would stay again.
Beautiful neighborhood, plenty of shopping and choices to eat out. The residence was 5 star'ish. We stayed for 3 days but did notice that it had all the amenities to live long term.
Unit was cute and matched description. Great location near lots of shopping/dining. We didnât move the cars once we arrived. Parking is great. We fit both our vehicles in the 2 allotted spaces. It is an historic home so the stairs to get in are a bit tight but there are handholds. Overall a great stay
As many have stated, this was a great location. We were there during a chilly mid-week in January so not a lot of crowds out to impact the noise outside, but we are cityfolk ourselves. The property was large enough for 6 of us to stay comfortably. The listing could have been a bit more plain about this being 1 of 4 units on the property, but we saw no one else and likely had the rowdiest group with 3 kids. The furnace seemed a little touchy, but otherwise the beds were very comfy and we had a great stay.
Walked up and down Meeting and King; could be to nearly all of the historic French Quarter/Downtown sights within 15 minutes!
We were supposed to stay three nights but unfortunately the stomach bug got us before traveling so we delayed our trip. We did get to see things a bit but we only had one night. I will say that it is not very quiet and I definitely used the provided noise machine. The place is special but could use some upgrading here and there. Thank you!
We loved this house. It was so charming and had a lovely historic feel that we were looking for. It was the best location. We were able to walk everywhere. We felt safe and comfortable. There was room for our whole family to have their own space and enough room for our long time Charleston friends to visit us too. Thank you so much :)
We loved our stay here! Plenty of room for a family of five to spread out and close to everything! We walked everywhere and loved every minute in this well stocked house.
Couldnât ask for anything more. This place was well located for easy walking everywhere in the Historic district. Tastefully furnished and well equipped. I would recommend this apartment for any future visits.
