Easy booking. Host is responsive and helpful with changes. The apartment is very comfortable, well maintained, and tastefully furnished and decorated. Perfect location, very close to MUSC and a beautiful walk to downtown Charleston, historic neighborhoods, and the harbor. Weâd be glad to stay here again.
Really nice place to stay. Bed was probably highlight - most comfortable bed anywhere (besides home). Great response times to any problems or inquiries. Only negative comment is basically no free TV - had to have streaming service to watch even the major networks (news, etc) or big sports events this week like NFL quarterfinals or NCAA football championship game.
The Rutledge Inn was a great place to stay for a trip to Charleston! Super convenient to shopping, restaurants, bars, and the beautiful history of Charleston! The host was great, the place was beautiful and very cozy!
Very well appointed apartment within walking distance to King Street. We found lots of great eateries and cute bars right in the immediate neighborhood also. Would definitely stay again.
We absolutely loved our stay at Rutledge Ave! It was in the perfect location, walkable to many areas in Charleston and not a far drive if you wanted to explore. It was the perfect size for just the 2 of us. It had all the amenities we needed, clear directions for check in and check out and were very quick to respond if we had any questions. I would definitely stay here again and with StayDuvet. Thank you for making our trip so great!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Rutledge Avenue Inn. The location and apartment were perfect. Check-in was easy. Everything was as stated except we had no coffee and no Kleenex. Stores are within easy walking distance, though, so that was not a problem. We will be back!
This was our second consecutive vacation to Charleston and this property made this trip a lot more charming! It was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. We love to walk so the location was perfect for us to walk to most of the places we had on our sightseeing list. I appreciate the communication I received from the property manager from the beginning of our trip until the end. When we return to Charleston in the future this property will be our first choice!
Great spot. Quiet. Lovely accomodations just as advertised. Called for minor ac issue (turned out to be user error!) but had great response from host. Very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
Rutledge Ave Inn (Suite C) was an excellent place to stay. My wife and I enjoyed our spacious suite which had everything we need during our stay. The king size bed was super comfortable for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well appointed. It took us awhile to figure out where to walk in the city but king street was only about a 12 min. Walk. Plenty of shopping & eaters in the area. The parking is a little tight. We were happy that we rented a small car to explore the city & surrounding areas. The airport, beach, bars and more was so much fun! We would recommend this spot to anyone. That you to the stay Duvet team for answering all of our questions through the app.
Our otherwise enjoyable stay was marred by our simple request for more toilet paper being questioned by management, an unfortunate first. Why Stay Duvet would want to cheap out on the quantity (limit of 3, as we were told) and quality (scanty) of rolls provided to guests is baffling to us, but there are many other options in Charleston. We were waiting for Nick Saban to penalize us for using too much toilet paper - oh wait, he is supposed to be poking fun at the "other guys." The "O" in VRBO has certainly diminished in charm when you have corporate entities buying and renting properties and forgetting what made VRBO so great in the first place.
The unit was lovely, mostly as advertised (the living room and dining rooms are darker than pictured due to the window treatments). The bed is hard but comfortable. The neighborhood was really pretty and we walked around quite a bit. It's a short walk to King St., which is a lot of fun. Rutledge traffic can be a bit noisy, but didn't keep us up. It's really a beautiful old house. The private entrance and parking spot were excellent! The food at Fuel, a 2 minute walk up the street was wonderful - we highly recommend it. Great place overall and the hosts are very responsive!
Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this place was and so accessible to so much. There were many, varied restaurants within a very short distance, downtown was easy to walk to or take the shuttle. Communication was great--couldn't ask for more! Would most definitely stay here again.Cyndie & Andy Rothschild
We very much enjoyed the stay at the Rutledge Inn. We stayed in the C suite. Very clean and nicely decorated. The parking can be a bit challenging. Parking is in the rear of the house and accessed through a very narrow alley way.
Our visit to Charleston was wonderful as was our stay at Rutledge Ave Inn (Suite C). The unit was as advertised with off street parking that really helped us make day trips around the greater Charleston area. Would stay again.
This is a quiet, comfortable and spacious second floor apartment that provided everything we needed for our two night stay. Park on the street in front of the property to unload your stuff, then put the car away in back during your stay. Walk two blocks to the Riverwalk and Historic district and be entertained.
