The place is great. Location great. Only thing to keep in mind is limited parking (one car only) although parking is an issue in Charleston point. There is a public lot a short walk away - cost me 70 for approximately two days. Would definitely stay there again. Coffee shop two minute walk away was a plus.
This was a a fantastic rental in the heart of Charleston. Location was perfect, relatively quiet and tucked back off the main street but walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops. The home is very nice, well furnished, beautiful kitchen area, clean bright bathrooms and comfortable beds. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely rent again.
Lovely place and great location but could be a little more woman friendly. For example, more black makeup towels, mirrors, extension cords. Also, the rooms could use ceiling fans. However, there is a coffee shop on the corner and easy access to King St. I would recommend this place for groups.
Check-in and check-out was soooo easy and streamlined. The host replied to our questions quickly via texts and emails. The kitchen was spotless with ample tools. The fridge was big enough to keep our food and drinks cold. The beds were so comfy! We walked from this place to King Street and it was so pleasant to return and relax! Thank you for making the house so comfortable and new, too!
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The home was clean, quiet, and in a prime locationâperfect for walking to restaurants and shopping. It comfortably accommodated our family of six. If we visit Charleston again, weâd definitely look to book this place a second time!
Our stay at the Duncan House was exactly what we hoped for! The home was exactly as advertisedâclean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything was in great condition, and you can tell the property is well cared for. The host was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process, making check-in and our overall experience seamless. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free stay in a charming, clean home.
Great rental property- unfortunate construction noise all day.
This rental property was very accurately described and provided a comfortable place for us. It was super clean and spacious for two couples. The communication with the agency was super. Unfortunately there is a major construction zone 1-2 blocks away that made it very noisy all day- starting at 7:45am. Metal pounding & clanging noises- all day. It was impossible to sit outside and have a conversation and it was loud inside as well. That is the only reason we did not give this 5 stars. Definitely check to see if construction has ended prior to booking, unless you can block out very loud metal clanging noises.
My 2 sisters and I chose to stay at the Duncan House while in Charleston for 4 nights. The home was perfect for us. Everything we needed to have coffee and breakfast in the morning. Location to downtown was perfect. And even though the weather was less than great, it was nice to go back to the house and just spend time together. We would come back here in a heartbeat. And recommend to anyone. The management group was very responsive to us, as well.
The property was easy to find and get into, a perfect location and impeccably clean. It was very quiet at night. The property had shampoo, soap, conditioner, detergent and a washer and dryer. There is a highly rated coffee/ sandwich shop steps away. It is 1.5 block off King Street. The communication was timely and thorough.
This is the first time we stayed in this part of Charleston. Usually we stay closer to Market area, so we were nervous going. However, it didnât matter at all. The location was great, we had longer walks, but loved the exercise, the walk to the Historic Market area only took 20 minutes and the weather was amazing, so no problem at all. The house was wonderful, beds were comfortable and the check in process was super easy. The couple of times I had to call, my call was answered immediately. I would 100% stay here again. There a coffee shop 20â from the house and cute restaurants just blocks away. My only recommendation is that maybe they add some games or other things to do, for families staying there, or I would bring something for family time next time.
Charming house and the perfect location to walk everywhere. Even our communications with the host, they were readily available and very helpful. Will definitely be back for another visit.
We had a fantastic time here at the Duncan House in Charleston. The property was inviting, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the location was wonderful. We enjoyed walking from the property to lots of great shopping and eating. Having the off-street parking was nice, and driving to all of the must-see places in Charleston was super easy. The Duncan House really contributed to the overall happiness with our trip to South Carolina!
Property is extremely well maintained and clean. Location is at end of King St (1 street away). Close proximity to everything from grocery stores, meeting street market and any number of restaurants. Also a nice little cafe at driveway for a breakfast sandwich.
StayDuvet company is amazing. Communication was more than 5 star and their marketing material is wonderful. Canât speak for other properties managed by Duvet or renters, but would have to imagine the experience was top notch as well.
I booked this house based on several factors: location, size and looks. It is a beautifully done home off the street in a courtyard, with a parking space, in a quiet neighborhood with lots within a short walk. It's just north of the College of Charleston's campus, if that's important to you as it was to us.
Everything was just as pictured and my pre-trip, during, and post-trip communication with Stay Duvet was topnotch. Within a couple of days, we felt as if it was our home away from home. Right on the corner as you enter the alley driveway, there is a shop called Island Provisions, which we loved for carry-out breakfast and lunch in a pinch because we could eat at home!
We had a wonderful stay!
We stayed in the Duncan House for our family vacation. It was a great location for our visit to Charleston. The house was clean, roomy and in a really good location to enjoy the city. The house was close enough to downtown Charleston to walk or take a short Uber ride. After enjoying the sites downtown, it was great to return to a quiet neighborhood to relax. We would definitely use this property again when we return to Charleston!
