Obnoxious, Bed Bugs and Gross
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this VRBO property was so appalling that I feel compelled to share it in hopes of sparing others from a similarly dreadful stay. Unfortunately, this was the worst VRBO experience Iâve ever had.
First and foremost, the cleanliness of the property was unacceptable. Upon arrival, it was evident that the kitchen had not been cleaned properly. There was grime all over the counters and the stove, which made preparing meals not only unpleasant but unsanitary. It was clear that no effort had been made to maintain even a basic level of cleanliness.
The issues didnât end there. One of the major inconveniences was the non-functional dryer, which went unfixed for my entire stay of over two and a half months. This was not mentioned in the property listing, and when we reached out to the owner about it, we received no assistance or alternatives. Having wet clothes pile up was not only frustrating but completely unacceptable for a rental property.
To make matters worse, the ownerâs communication was horrendous. Whenever we had concerns or questions, their responses were obnoxious and dismissive. Instead of addressing our issues with professionalism and empathy, the owner seemed to go out of their way to make the situation more uncomfortable. This lack of regard for guests' comfort was appalling.
Adding insult to injury, we received a notice about a past bedbug infestation during our stayâsomething that was never disclosed.
