This studio loft has a great location adjacent to the downtown mall. Perfect place to hit wineries during the day and dine in town at night. The room has nice updated finishes and the bed was super comfy. It was very noisy in the mornings and evenings being tight on the main road, so if you go to bed early or like to sleep in, may not be the best choice.
Overall this is a great spot to stay. Clean, open, modern, and close to campus. One recommendation to the management: adding dimmers to the lighting would be good - the light is a bit harsh. And also there are no lights by the bed. We would definitely stay here again but the lighting changes/additions would make it even better!
Great location and huge space. Little on the louder side on weekend night but to be expected as your on the backside of the downtown mall. Super clean and very well stocked kitchen. Easy to walk to everything and convenient parking available for very low cost.
Everything was fine! There were a couple damages, chairs were not sturdy, and there was a piece of baseboard with a nail sticking out of it right as I walked in the door at check in. Other than, wish it had a shower door vs being wide open, but it was good overall!
Great location in downtown Charlottesville. The place was easy to get in and looked exactly as pictured. Would be nice to have a regular coffee maker and some lamps in the bedroom but otherwise, it was well appointed.
The space is very nicely appointed and the location was good. As a senior with arthritis, some aspects of the condo were inconvenient. My oversight not to check is there was an elevator in the building - no. Could not get the shower knob to turn to use the hand-held wand - seems to be missing part of its handle. The bedside stands were barely 2' high which made use of them awkward. Also as a very short person, I could not reach many of the kitchen items - although too late I found a step stool in a closet. The restaurant directly below the unit had some very loud pounding music but not too late into the night.Lovely space but perhaps not for senior citizens.
You couldnât ask for a better location. The apartment is beautiful, could use some more lamps instead of all over head lighting originating by the front door and the hot water lasted all of 5 minutes, but honestly loved the spot.
Very roomy apartment, perfect location to downtown mall. Even with the cold, we were able to walk everywhere during our stay. It felt very large for a studio.
We enjoyed our stay at the Water Street Posidon 2 apartment. It was decorated very cutely and had everything we needed. We were house hunting and the location was perfect for looking around Charlottesville.
Got exactly what I expected: A clean, safe place to stay, steps to the Charlottesville downtown mall and with easy access to campus. Check-in, check-out process was easy and the info provided in unit covered everything I needed to know.
We had a wonderful weekend in Charlottesville. The location of this property is perfect for visiting the downtown. There are great options for eating and shopping.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in the Poseidon and would stay again! The location is so convenient to many walkable activities and the interior and features were just as described.
We appreciated receiving very clear check-in instructions in advance as well as the offer for concierge services (while we didn't take advantage of the concierge service as we've spent time in the area quite a few times before, it sounded very comprehensive).
Though technically a studio, the bedroom nook is separated enough to feel very cozy, and the bed and bedding were very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans & small appliances, and dishes - everything you need and nothing you don't for casual cooking or baking. Items in the kitchen and bathroom all appeared quite clean, but the cleanliness of the overall apartment could use some attention (for example, sticky and discolored doorframes and handles on closet and entry doors).
My wife and I stayed for two nights. Location, location, location for easy access to the the Downtown Mall and its vibrant collection of more than 120 shops and 30 restaurants housed in historic buildings along the city's Main Street.
The condo was nicely done and had plenty of amenities for a weekend stay.
Minor drawback was the road noise and fairly bright in the am due to the blinds.
Property was ultra convenient only one block from downtown mall. Coffee maker is a cup style Unit, so coffee we brought didnât work out. Note there are 25 steps to reach the unit. Not an issue for us, but may be for a few.
Highs:
Comfy bed
Nice towels
Plenty of TP & dish soap
Super shower
Light & airy
Upscale appliances & cookware
Location
Clean
Lows:
Bathroom faucet only provides a small stream of hot water
Washer & dryer behind sliding doors that really are hard to move
TV is basically âApp basedâ as no over the air local options. Bring your passwords!
Would absolutely stay here again!
The loft is spacious and modern. Large bathroom with a great shower. The kitchen has a large, new fridge and all the kitchenware is Crate and Barrel. You will have to pay for parking, but the deck is only a block away. Remember to bring earplugs. The downtown location is very convenient, but there is a lot of street noise.
Nicely remodeled, clean loft in great location basically on the downtown mall. Perfect for solo travelers or I suppose a couple with plenty of space to hang out. Only drawbacks are that it is on one of the main streets and so there is traffic noise to contend with and also the ceiling/floor to the unit above must be super thin as you can hear every footstep of anyone above. The person above during my stay had such heavy footsteps that I felt the bed shake. Other than those things itâs ideal.
The location is prime so close to restaurants and bars! We did the hop on tour which was only a 10 minute walk from the bnb! Didnât have to get any taxis (I hear theyâre hard to come by in Charlottesville). The place was so cute and had everything we needed.
Loved the proximity to the downtown shopping area. Got to walk to shops and restaurants daily which was awesome. Movie theater is close by, which was neat! Apartment was clean and had pleasant accommodations. Didnât realize there were so many homeless people in the downtown shopping area, could be uncomfortable at times especially when they were pan handling. That was the only negative thing Iâd have to say about the area. Overall, great! Check out âThe Glass Paletteâ if you are staying in the area, really cool glass art projects you can make.
