From the moment we got to the cottage, everything was easy and welcoming. The house was warm and cozy when we arrived, even thought it was 40°ish outside! A few things were even provided to make our pets comfortable too: a towel for muddy paws, a bag to clean up the yard, and a tray for a water/food bowl. There was a toaster oven and a fridge, but no microwave. With that said, the food options in Orange and/or Gordonsville (10-15min drive) were really good- we never needed to cook! Just a couple words of warning: this place is not a great option for senior dogs, the stairs inside are pretty slick, even our younger dogs had a few slips. Tall people who stand to pee may also want to skip this one, as the ceilings are very low right over the toilet and the shower is also pretty small. Other than those things, we had a great time and enjoyed the *total privacy* and much-needed opportunity to get away from the city and watch the sun rise over the Blue Ridge Mountains đ
