Chater Barn

Chater Barn is a beautiful property located in the stunning Rutland countryside and within close proximity to Oakham and Rutland Water. It is perfect for families wanting to explore everything the local area has to offer. The barn is situated in the picturesque village of Launde, home to Launde Abbey.

The ground floor of the barn comprises of a large open kitchen and dining space with ample seating for all guests. This overlooks the extensive gardens and private pond which can be accessed via both the kitchen and living room. There is an outdoor dining set and log burner allowing you to enjoy the views all year round.

In addition to the living areas the downstairs also comprises of a twin bedroom with ensuite wet room. A cosy double bedroom and a separate W/C and utility room.

Upstairs, the master suite is accessed from a double height central hallway with exposed beams. The expansive master bedroom with ensuite (and roll top bath!) has a Juliette balcony overlooking the stunning countryside. The barn can comfortably sleep 6 guests and has the option of sleeping an additional 2 children in the master suite on 2 separate z-beds (there will be a small fee for the use of these).

Chater Barn is close to Rutland Water, Oakham and a scenic 40 minute drive to Burghley House, home to the famous Burghley Horse Trials. Launde Abbey is just a few minutes away and the Lady Wood Estate wedding venue is a 10 minute drive.

There is ample private parking.
