Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service and No Hot Water I was very disappointed with my recent stay at the St George Hotel. Upon arrival, there was no one at reception for over 10 minutes, and I had to call the number on the desk to get help. When the receptionist finally arrived, she was abrupt and unhelpful. The room lacked a bath plug, and after multiple calls and a 40-minute wait, we were told none could be found—yet no one informed us until we chased it up. The hot water situation was even worse: extremely low pressure, cutting off completely, and the shower barely worked. Staff visited the room but failed to resolve the issue or follow up as promised. When I reported the continuing issue, I was met with indifference and told to “come back tomorrow” to complain. This stay fell far below the standards any guest should expect. I am requesting compensation and a formal response to these issues.

Sadly in need of a big update. There were cobwebs when I went in, the Tv had no signal, the reading light didn’t work and the shower was not a shower but just one long stream of water as would pour from a tap. Ignored breakfast and while it is a free breakfast, it isn’t very generous

I’d choose elsewhere

The breakfast room needs a good clean everywhere. The bread for toast was mouldy. Staff not bothered, car park not available. Bed ok, bathroom needs some tlc. Not a great area surrounding the hotel and not as well kept outside or in as their photos show.

Good location and ok stay

Location is excellent. Stay...clean bed linen, shower was a tricle so must need shower head replacing?...used milk capsule in jar..other than that an OK stay...service staff were excellent. Breakfast very average...but plenty..
