Arrival time was 4pm, at this time of year it was dark, location of key box was in the shadows, no light to see or instructions on how to access key, only code sent to us, had to ring Sudeley Estate Office, staff came quickly and opened box. Would be useful to have information on this in email sent with your key code prior to arrival.
On entering cottage found it very cold, no heating on, located boiler which showed low water pressure, again had to ring Sudeley Estate Office, same staff member came and sorted the problem. There had been fresh milk and tea and coffee left for our arrival so obviously someone had been in the cottage so canât understand why the heating hadnât been checked.
The overall condition of the cottage was good but bathroom needed attention, dirty sealant around shower screen. Shower was quite dangerous and left itself open to being scalding - only 2 - 3 millimetres separated VERY HOT to VERY COLD water (the safety button on the temperature valve was stuck in)
Location of cottage was very good for the Christmas Light Trail at the castle and for the village.
