2 couples stayed. Excellent pre stay information and directions. Bring yourself, clothes, toiletries and any food. Everything else is provided. 2 en-suite bathrooms, plenty of room for 4 people. 2 car parking spaces.
This is a very pleasant cottage in a very pleasant village.Cleanliness is very important to me so I was happy to see how clean it was.I do, however feel the cottage is a little tired and could do with a new paint job, especially in the living room.My only other issue was the shower in the upstairs en-suite. It was nearly coming off the wall and once the pressure of the water reached the shower head, the water went everywhere. On a very positive note, the beds are very comfortable, ensuring we all slept very well.I had one small query while I was there and the owner responded very promptly with an answer.
Excellent choice. Well appointed property in a relatively quiet village in a very popular area.Everything was as advertised. The beds are extremely comfortable & 4 of us had a great 5 day stay.Easy access to nearby sights, highly recommended
The owners were v. responsive in communication. The cottage is located in a convenient location with easy access to a plaza and attractions. The house is well-equipped of necessities. The only complaint is that there was not enough hot water for the 4 of us to take shower. There was no more hot water after 2 persons have taken their shower. The washer/dryer does not seem to be able to dry the clothes. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.
A lovely cottage that has everything you need and well placed for visiting the area. The local pub Wheatsheaf is great for food and local shops too. Breakfast at the Prison is a must. Great communication with Lorna and Genna and very helpful with places recommended for a visit. Would recommend.
The property was clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and well equipped. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was great for our elderly relative, who can no longer manage stairs. Northleach is well situated for visiting the Cotswolds. We visited many national trust properties within a relatively short drive. Northleach church is well worth the short walk from the cottage and we enjoyed breakfast at the Old Prison Cafe and dinner at the Wheatsheaf both in Northleach. The Budgen was very convenient for picking up grocery odds and ends All in all a delightful stay.
The cottage was exactly as described, with an easy check in process and a lovely welcoming atmosphere (including a delicious Bakewell Tart, thank you!). We had confidence to stay here with our multiple allergies to fragrance after communicating with the responsive hosts. Northleach was a handy location to explore large areas of the Cotswolds while having a quiet location to return to at the end of the day. We also enjoyed the local shops and visiting the special church up the hill. My mum and I had a fantastic stay.
So happy to have found this lovely quirky little cottage. The location is excellent for visiting beautiful little towns and villages of The Cotswolds and there is a fantastic pub, wine bar. butcher, bakers, small supermarket and coffee shops all within walking distance of the property. There are also great dog walks from the doorstep and Northleach itself is a friendly little community - we were made to feel very welcome despite only being there a few days. Check in, parking and instructions at the property are all easy and Lorna and Genna really are the perfect hosts. We certainly hope to return soon.
We loved everything about our stay ! We are a family of 4 adults and Elsie our dog . There are lots of walks and the locals were really welcoming , chatting to us wherever we went . North leech is very quaint and the cottage has a wonderful feel and is clearly very loved by the owners . Being less than a 5 minute walk to all you need ,coffee shop/wine bar , pubs , Budgens and a bakers there is even a pharmacy .The parking for two cars was a bonus . The old telephone exchange has everything you need For a comfortable stay. We have visited the Cotswolds lots of times but never Northleech , we will Definatly return .all in all we couldn't have wished for a better staycation Thank you so very much for our stay at the old telephone exchange it could not of been any better
Really nice accommodation with quirky features reflecting the history of the building. Good sized bedrooms both en suite. Well equipped kitchen and comfy sitting and dining area. Log burning stove was great. Good to have an enclosed garden for our dog to be able to go outside without being on lead. Good pubs and handy shops in easy walking distance. An excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,
We (my partner, and my Mum) had a lovely stay here to celebrate my Mum's birthday and really appreciated the treats left for us! Check in was super easy with the lock box. The cottage is great for 2 guests as both bedrooms have an en suite (although the upstairs/loft bedroom doesn't have a door FYI). Plenty of seating in the living area too with the sofa, armchair, and even an electric armchair which came in handy for my Mum! There was plenty of firewood left for us for a 2 night stay and we had the log burner on both nights - some instructions for this might have been useful though. The cottage is only a 5 minute walk into Northleach centre where there's a small shop, butchers and a pub.
The location of the property was perfect to visit other areas of the Cotswolds. The property was quiet and had everything you needed to make it feel like home. The beds were so comfortable and have never slept so well. It was peaceful and relaxing and was lovely to hear the church bells even through the night. The location was ideal to explore and walk around the village and countryside. Would stay here again and highly recommend.
This cottage was perfect for our stay. The hosts have really kept this property up with modern features and tons of charm. The only thing better than the accommodations was the town. Met the sweetest locals and had our fill of good food and drinks. We will absolutely be coming back to stay!
It was excellent lovely home comfortable beds and had everything you needed.
The only thing I would have liked to have had was a small clothesline outside.
I would recommend the Telephone Exchange and love to stay again if in the UK
Thanks for sharing your lovely holiday house.

Very central to various places in the Cotswolds but such a joy to return to and to get up in each morning. Everything was there that we needed and I enjoyed the outside space to sit and read a bit and to dry some laundry. So bright and airy, roomyâŠ.we just loved Exchange Cottage and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Property is ideally situated in Northleach, which is a great starting point to explore the cotswolds. Northleach has some great restaurants and pubs. Some lovely walks around northleach as well.
The property is neat and tidy, with plenty of amenities. The bedrooms are spacious with great showers, the outside bits are a bonus when the British summer allows!
Great communication from the owners,
