Unfortunately, our stay was let down by several avoidable issues.Less than 24 hours before arrival, we were told that a bedroom in the annex was no longer available. The proposed solution was for two members of our group to stay in a hotel, defeating the purpose of booking a large property together. After we queried this and asked about a refund, the issue was resolved within 10 minutes, making the last-minute stress even more frustrating.On arrival, both fridges were switched off, meaning we had to wait before storing food for a large group. Given there was a booking, I would have expected these to be switched on during the changeover clean.Although advertised for 12 guests, the property is not comfortably set up for 12 adults. There wasn't enough seating for everyone to eat together, and the living room could not accommodate the whole group at once. We had to rely on extra chairs we had brought ourselves.There were also maintenance issues, including flickering living room lights and nowhere to hang wet towels.The location is good and convenient for Cheltenham town centre, making it a useful base for the weekend.Overall, the property felt poorly prepared and not particularly well suited to the number of guests it is advertised to accommodate. For the price paid, we expected better.
