Stunning ocean views of Vancouver Island's Gulf Islands, from high this high bank waterfront, in a quiet, mature small town neighbourhood. Mid 1950's refurbished and repurposed ranch style home on a gentle sloping lot. The conversion to two vacations rental suites allows for a 2œ bdrm upper suite which 2 couples (us) stayed, with the lower suite being below grade on the road side, and at ground level on the ocean side. Both suites have massive laid stone surfaced and fenced side by side patios with the same captivating views (we watched a œ dozen California Sea Lions hunting small fish dinners one evening for a very entertaining hour of telephoto camera fun along with birdwatching binos. Bald eagles, a Peregrine Falcon, Ravens, a Loon, Turkey Vultures and Osprey flew past and of course, sea gulls. The amount of patio furniture was almost comical- I counted comfy seating for 16 (!?)- in the scattered array, open sky, massive patio space below and in front of the shallow deck. After descending to the patio, you pass the 3 person raised hot tub (home instructions say to only have two people in the jacuzzi, despite the tubs three seat design, to prevent water over the top, messing up the water chemistry. But it does need the tiniest bit of home maintenance, that a small toolbox of basic tools and an hour could fix- three of the antique interior door knobs pulled out when gently pulled- glass knobs banging onto floor and waking up the house. Attentive host response tho!
