Lakefront townhome on Tripp Lake in the Adirondacks, minutes from Gore Mountain skiing, Lake George, hiking, kayaking, and year-round outdoor adventure.
Place was nice and clean, well stocked. Beds comfortable, lake across the street. Lake needed weed cleaning if you're going swimming where their private beach is.Did not use kayak or paddle boat.
We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Loon Lake cottage. Heather was great with communicating the check in process and the replacement of the coffee maker. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the bed linens were comfortable. The kids loved the gradual slope into the lake. The only negative thing I could say is the road is busier than I anticipated, but the property was exactly as listed.
My son and I recently bought a fishing boat
With the private dock, it made things very convenient and an we had an enjoyable stay, love the lake and the surroundings, and the cottage was comfortable and well stocked.
About a half hour from Lake George and situated around Loon Lake, we loved this home away from home stay.
My family and I enjoyed the private dock across the street and the kayaks were a wonderful plus! The home was equipped with all the necessities and more. Games and books for the kids, plenty of blankets, access to washer and dryer. We hope to be back!
We had a great stay at this house. Nice private beach area in a small cove a very short walk from the house with chairs, picnic table, kayaks and paddle boat. The house was well appointed and comfortable, we didn't need or want anything more than what was provided and had no questions because the directions were clear. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us.
We had a wonderful stay! This cottage had what we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Very relaxing! The dock is actually across the street so the cabin is not exactly a âlakefrontâ cottage. The screened porch is nice - it is on the side of the house so it doesnât face the water but there is a cute little bistro set where you can enjoy dinner or morning coffee with a view of the lake. Really enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the dock at night! There was some road construction as they were paving the road right in from the cottage but we were able to get in and out across the uneven pavement without a problem. Convenient location to where we wanted to kayak. Fishing was good on the lake! Communication with owner was outstanding. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!
The cabin is exactly as described in the listing - it is very clean, welcoming, and tastefully decorated! Although we visited the town's public beach one day, we did appreciate having a private area on the beach. The host was great with communication. There is plenty to do in the area - our family went Horseback riding at Circle B Ranch, rail biking riding in North Creek, and took a summer ski lift ride up Gore Mountain. We also visited the farmer's market in Chestertown. Our family is from Michigan and this was our first visit to NY - we felt very lucky to have stumbled upon this cabin and the area for the Upstate portion of our trip.
We had a great stay for a long weekend. Cabin was cozy and sett. We had everything we needed. East to find. Great spot on a private cove. Only issues: paddle board leaning on picnic table and neither were usable. Would have been nice to have paddle boat in water so it could be used. No seating in shade on grass. Would have nice if cabin had some clean usable chairs or even folding chairs for beach. We had great little fires but sitting on wet ground sort of less than ideal. Great dock to hang on very little shade. Chairs were too heavy to move to beach for shade or fire. Overall we really enjoyed the space and highly recommend.
Heather was an awesome host. Check-in was easy and I appreciated the welcome sheet that was left on the counter. The property and rooms are just as pictured and the house is VERY close to the lake. Kitchen has all amenities needed. The comforter in the master bedroom is a dream, so soft and fluffy. The hot water for showering is great too. There was a lot of traffic while we were there but do able and I liked watching the motorcycles go by ( it was Americade weekend). Lake George is only 30 minutes away but your GPS might lead you to Lake George Resort instead so be careful, lol. We took advantage of the closeness of the lake and went fishing and boating, I caught a Bluegill and smallmouth bass, hubby kept catching Pikes and a few smallmouth bass. Everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Nearby restaurants within 10 minutes and a gas station and Dollar Tree not far from there. I was surprised to see that the Dollar Tree sold select alcoholic beverages. Glad I chose this location and I would return. You will not be disappointed.
