Experience the romantic countryside in a restored stone house in the heart of the Maremma of Volterra between the sea and the Etruscan city of Alabaster. Ideal for relaxing and peaceful holidays in Tuscany (also suitable for couples and families) with culture, great panoramic views, swimming pool, good food of Mamma Claudia, sport activities such as walking and cycling. In the Villa Rustica there are 4 rooms. The room Lavanda and Pervinca are located on the ground floor and each one has its own private entrance. Lavanda room is furnished with double bed, bathroom (WC / shower) and a well equipped kitchen corner; the family room Pervinca is furnished with a double bed and a Sofà bed for 2 people, a bathroom (WC / shower) and with a well equipped kitchen corner. At first floor are located 2 adjacent rooms (Mirto and Ciclamino) with shared private entrance. The Mirto room is furnishedwith a Sofà bed for 2 people (plus an extra Sofà bed for 1 on demand), with bathroom (WC / shower) and a well equipped kitchen corner; the room Mirto is connected through a corridor with the room Ciclamino which is furnished with canopy double bed and a bathroom (WC-shower).
For married couples, single families or small groups it is possible to rent just one, two or three rooms. An generous breakfast with our organic agricultural products is possible on demand (price not included in the rent rate). Once per week mom Claudia cooks the typical Tuscan food for the guests on demand (price not included in the rent rate) . In the back house there is a 50 square meters Veranda with Wi-Fi internet access, TV, DVD player and CD player available.
On the first floor live in a small apartment the owners Claudia and Enrico who can prepare for you a generous breakfast on demand (usually it is requested on the first day) or a typical tuscan dinner (possible once per week) and who take care of the garden/park and of cleaning the pool. If you will arrive later than expected , for example, you can turn to them

Great summer break in Tuscany - July 2020

We were a group of 7 and rented all 4 rooms in the building. We loved the private, remote location and the outdoor areas - such as the covered seating area next to the grill and games on the lawn! The pool is huge and especially deep! Claudia takes great care of it (we could not find the special sun tan cream that she recommended - for some reason our normal sun tan lotions caused white swimming costumes to go yellow in places). Thankfully I read a review about the mosquitoes so we came well prepared with mozzie vapour devices for the rooms and insect repellent to spray on - even in the mornings! I missed noticing that there is no dishwasher available, but this at least gave the kids a learning opportunity! We can highly recommend the “Le Vecchie Cantine” restaurant in Chianni and ,if you want to go to the sea, the Spiagge Bianche beach near Vada is a great white beach to visit with lots of parking. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday...!

A perfect Tuscan retreat

I hired the whole villa for my family of 4 as we wanted privacy and that's exactly what we got. The villa is incredibly gorgeous, with everything you could possibly need, the views are spectacular and Claudia and Enrico are superb hosts. Claudia cooked an evening meal and breakfast for us when we arrived, we have not stopped talking about how delicious it was! I misunderstood the dynamics of the villa and didn't realise that my children (9 and 12yrs) would have their own apartment, with kitchen and their own front door key! My children were thrilled with this but I was apprehensive with them locking themselves in their rooms at night and me not being able to get in. Claudia quickly resolved this by getting me an extra set of keys cut to put my mind at ease! To be honest though, it was just me overreacting as the villa is extremely secluded and gated! The pool is simply fantastic, deep enough to dive in with plenty of loungers. We didn't leave the villa for days on end, it was a perfect way to relax. One thing that you must realise when booking this property is that it's deep in the countryside so you must expect lots of wildlife, which mostly for us was a delight with birds, lizards, deer, hedgehogs and donkeys but obviously lots of mosquitos. We were bitten quite a lot and Claudia gave us a mosquito net which did help. I would highly recommend you are prepared for this though. In the UK, when my children see a fly or bee in the garden, they go running inside, in Tuscany however there is no getting away from it and after a day or so I found them completely ignoring anything that flew their way! Definitely did them the world of good. I cannot recommend this villa enough, definitely our best holiday ever!!

Beautiful retreat in the heart of Tuscany

An absolutely stunning property with gracious hosts. Centrally located within 35 minutes to the train station in Pontedera, and within 1 to 2 hours of Cinque Terre, Lucca, Volterra, Mediterranean beaches, and Florence. It is a beautiful spot!

Tuscan Paradise

Beautiful house and view. Hospitable and helpful. Comfortable and hot showers. WiFi in the common area (not in the rooms). Use google maps satellite to find. Laundry is available but not in the room. We stayed here with 2 kids and it was very family friendly. Claudia and Enriqo were wonderful!

Quiet and enchanting, garden of eden, with a pool ! Tuscan perfection.

We stayed for one week, sharing the facility with another family of friends. We had the domain to ourselves. The house and the garden are beautiful, perfectly tended. It's extremely peaceful (the house is way down a little path that goes through a tuscan wood. No neighbours at all) The view on the tuscan hills from the wintergarden is gorgeous, From the bedrooms and the main living space, the view in on the garden only, but it's still lovely. Claudia and Enrico are charming. They live on the property so you can ask them questions if you need but you will still feel like you're on your own. It's very private (if you rent the whole place, which we did. I don't think we would have liked to share with strangers though). They have cats and dogs but you barely see them. The pool was the perfect size for kids to swim and adults to refresh, always clean, with lovely flower surroundings. The tiny and charming town of Chianni is the place to go to get fresh bread, gelatis, delicious Italian meats and cheeses, oil, fruits etc. I highly recommend this wonderful home for your next family vacation. (wifi only works in wintergarden, which is very nice if you actually want to vacation and not watch your phone!)

Das Haus wird durch eine private Straße im Wald erreicht. Es ist sehr ruhig und erholsam. Im oberen Stock befindet sich eine Wohnung mit 2 Badezimmer 1 Schlafzimmer und 1 Zimmer mit Küche. Im Erdgeschoß befinden sich 2 einzelne 1-zimmerwohnungen mit Bad und Küche. Wir haben hauptsächlich die kleine outdoor Küche genutzt, da wir den Grill oft genutzt haben. Pool ist groß und wird täglich sauber gemacht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns sehr gut erholt. Die Vermieterin ist einfach nur zauberhaft. Wenn man Ruhe und Erholung in der Natur sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Mit dem Auto können viele Ausflüge gemacht werden

Wir waren Anfang August 25 als Familie mit 3 Generationen für eine Woche bei Claudia.. Wir fanden ein blühendes, parkähnliches, Refugium vor, bei dem die beständige, sorgfältige Hege und Pflege sofort auffällt. Bei der Unterkunft handelt es sich um ein umgebautes, wunderschönes toskanisches Bauernhaus mit viel Charme mitten in der Natur. Für die Anfahrt, zum Einkauf und Besichtigungen ist ein Auto notwendig. Die Zimmer sind einfach und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet.Die Fenster sind mit Mückennetzen versehen.Neben der Außenküche, mit Spülmaschine, ist der gepflegte Pool, der jeden Morgen gereinigt wird, das Highlight. Wir haben als Familie in der Außenküche täglich gekocht, es empfiehlt sich dazu einige Küchenutensilien wie etwa ein großes Brett, Kochmesser etc., mitzubringen. Ansonsten ist sogar Holzkohle für den Grill vorhanden. Wir haben uns hier rundum wohlgefühlt.Während andere Ferienhäuser oft etwas unpersönlich sind, bringt sich Claudia hier als dezente und fürsorglich Gastgeberin persönlich ein. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Wir kommen gerne wieder .

Es war alles super. Sind liebevoll aufgenommen worden. Jeden Tag früh und Abend war die Inhaberin da und hat sich um die Pflege der Anlage und des Pools gekümmert. Bei jeglichen Anfragen war sie zur Hilfe bereit und zuvorkommend. Hat sich aber nie aufgedrängt und "Geisterhaft" verhalten.Wichtig ist das man sich auf die in den Bilder dargestellte Rustikalität und Einfachheit einlassen kann. Dennoch sind Annehmlichkeiten wie WLAN und Spühlmaschiene, Waschmaschine vorhanden. Auch ist es ländlich, was bedeutet hier wird Natur erlebt, dies merkt man deutlich an Zirkaden die ihr Lied singen und an der Fülle an anderen Insekten.

Wonderful house with superb surroundings

We had a 10/10 week in beautiful Toscana. We loved the stay. Claudia is a perfect host and and a lovely person. Thank you! The outdoor kitchen with indoor facilities were perfect since we did all our dishes there the whole week. Pool area is beautiful.

Bel endroit, mais pas accès à toute la maison

Le site est enchanteur, au beau milieu de la Toscane. Claudia, la propriétaire des lieux, a été présente tout au long de notre séjour. Elle est charmante et discrète, elle est allée acheter des ventilateurs parce que nous avions très chaud dans les chambres. L'entretien de la piscine et du terrain est impeccable.Toutefois, la communication a été plus difficile avec Ginevra, qui gère les réservations. Outre le premier message lorsque nous avons fait la réservation, la communication a été complexe. Nous avons demandé un early check in la veille: pas de réponse. Nous avons tenté de négocier un prix moins élevé pour une personne d'extra (une enfant qui n'utilisait pas de draps supplémentaires) : la réponse est venue une semaine plus tard, et dans des termes plutôt désagréables. Toutefois, nous avons obtenu un arrangementAttention aux photos sur le site: vous n'aurez pas accès à toute la propriété. Il y a des chambres de type auberge, qui ne communiquent pas de l'intérieur, une terrasse extérieure, et l'espace piscine. On peut aussi manger dans la salle à manger intérieure au besoin, mais on ne peut ouvrir les fenêtres car pas de moustiquaires, et avec la chaleur qu'il faisait, ce n'est pas pratique. Il y a des petits coins cuisine dans chaque chambre, mais on ne peut avoir accès à la cuisine intérieure de la villa. En soi, ce n'est pas un problème, mais comme ces photos sont dans l'annonce de l'hébergement, on est un peu surpris en arrivant d'apprendre qu'on n'y a pas accès.

Fairy Tale

We staid at Poggio ai Lupi with our family to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Allthough the weather wasn't the weather you generally expect in Toscany, we had the time of our lives. The accommodation and the surrounding are phenomenal just like the hospitality of our host Claudia. We enjoyed the house, the visits to the beautiful cities in the area, cycling/mountainbiking and catching the 9 donkeys who escaped and bring them back to their meadow. It was a holiday we are never going to forget. Thank you Claudia and family!!!

Der Zustand des Objektes hat mit dem Inserat und den dort zu sehenden Bildern nichts gemeinsam. Als wir dort ankamen und uns die Räumlichkeiten und die Außenanlage gezeigt wurden, konnten wir es nicht fassen. Nach einer ergebnislosen Diskussion mit den Eignern reisten wir noch am selben Tag wieder ab. Anbei nur ein paar Punkte: - Bilder zum Objekt sind um viele Jahre älter als der aktuelle Zustand - Poolbereich ist ungepflegt und verschmutzt - Pool hat ringsum einen grünen Rand oberhalb der Wasserfläche, vermutlich durch Algenwachstum im Winter - Außendusche wird über alte poröse, vergilbte Gartenschläuche betrieben - Alle Matratzen der Liegen sind verschmutzt, mit Stockflecken versehen, die Gummibänder zur Befestigung an den Liegen, gerissen oder ausgeleiert - Die Bezüge der Sonnenschirme sind vergilbt, porös und zum Teil verrissen - Alte defekte Rasenmäher, verschmutze Eimer und Behälter stehen um den Poolbereich - Verfilzte und dreckige, mit Katzenhaaren übersähte Decken hängen im Poolbereich über einem Geländer - In die Erde geschlagenes Baustahl- und Armier-Eisen dient als Absperrung gegen Wildschweine (O-Ton Vermieter) - Die laut Beschreibung, gut ausgestattete Outdoor-Küche besteht aus einem verdreckten, mit Rissen übersähten Waschbecken, einer verdreckten und versifften Spülmaschine, in welcher noch das Geschirr vom Vormieter stand. Spülmittel und Accessoires werden hinter einem Bretterverschlag gelagert, welcher nicht mehr richtig befestigt ist. usw.

A lovely place

Claudia was a wonderful host and she was helpful and her English is very good. When ever we had a question she was available but otherwise we didn’t she her. the place has 3 separate apartments each with cooking facilities, and a small outdoor door kitchen, where we prepared all our meals. A bigger indoor kitchen area would have been nice. The road into the house is approx 800 m of dirt road. If you are looking for a remote place with beautiful surroundings this is highly recommended

Traumhafter Platz

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche bei Claudia. Die Kinder wollten gar nicht mehr heim. Ideal für Menschen, die die Ruhe suchen und viel Zeit miteinander verbringen wollen. Ausflüge waren machbar, wir haben die Fahrten durch die Landschaft mit wenig Verkehr sehr genossen. Im Dorf kann man toll essen und wir waren täglich bei Anna im Cafe
