Everything was lovely and comfortable in the apartment with a few small exceptions. 1) The temperature was very difficult to regulate. Apparently, we were visiting during the shoulder season and the central air had not yet been turned on. It was unseasonably hot (over 85 degrees at times) and we had no air conditioning in 2 of the 4 bedrooms (2 bedrooms had portable A/C units); the other 2 bedrooms needed them as well. 2) We were traveling with 2 elderly relatives in their 90s: 1 in a wheelchair and 1 who had difficulty climbing stairs. There was no elevator to the second floor (the floor that contained the kitchen, family room, and deck). Thus, this apartment would be a perfect set-up for guests who can climb stairs, but was not ideal for our group. 3) Of the 4 bedrooms, only one had a chair in it. This was noticeable to us, because we had to spend a lot of time on the first floor with our older relatives. It would be helpful to have a comfortable chair in each bedroom. 4) We had to move the area rugs to roll the wheel chair and to avoid anyone tripping, and the floor was very dusty under the rugs. The cleaners need to vacuum and mop the floor under the rugs. Otherwise, the apartments were clean and neat. 5) Finally, the two apartments, although rented together, are not connected at all. We had hoped to be able to walk between the apartments inside, but it was not possible. That should be more clear in the description. The host was very responsive to emails and small needs.
