Convenient to attractions, clean and comfortable. Wish they had an airport shuttle. Pool was closed for maintenance but I doubt we would have used anyway

This hotel was just fine. I guess I am a little spoiled. My room was very big and definitely was as advertised. There were a few things in the room that brought my rating down. Microwave didn’t work, cold water handle in bathroom was really loose and felt very not secure, the carpet was wet at the corner where the bathroom met the closet in the bedroom so I had to avoid that area because it just creeped me out. The location was SUPERB and puts you in THE middle of downtown Chicago. Everything is easy to get to from here.

This property is in need of updates/upgrades. The air conditioning was insufficient, bedding felt damp with humidity-maintenance was prompt when attempting to resolve the issue & did offer to move us to another room or provide a fan, but we decided to stay since it got cooler outside so wasn’t as noticeable, the shower floor was cracked, caulk needs replaced, doors poorly patched, furniture worn & uncomfortable. The hallways & elevators were also very warm, and the last two mornings workers were using power tools early in the morning above us-if we weren’t early risers, that would’ve been unpleasant. We’ve stayed at other Hiltons & this one didn’t stand up to the others. The Chapel Street coffee shop attached to it was stellar though.

The property is old and outdated. For the same price you can get much better around. I asked 3 times if my room has bath tub. All the times the answer was yes. There was not one. Rooms are old. No water. No minibar. No NOTHING. Save your money and go to the Fairmont.

Excellent location. Only one block away from the lake as well as from the Michigan avenue (shopping area). Our room was nice and clean. I should not say room, it was like an one bedroom apartment without a kitchen. The management was very nice.
