Just an overnight stay for a college campus visit, but had the Hyatt recommended by numerous people and it didn't disappoint. What a great community the Hyde Park area was. Rooms were very nice, big and extremely clean. Will definitely be making that out go to for all future trips to the Chicago land area

The location was perfect. There are many dining options in walking distance and also supermarket, drug store etc. The room was spacious and clean. Access to the city is also good.

I stayed here for the Chicago marathon. It was cheaper than being closer to the start of the marathon. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean. It is close to the 51st/53rd train station to be able to get to the expo at McCormick Place. Public transportation to the start of the marathon was also possible and easy. There was a Whole Foods close by. There were a few restaurants within 1 to 2 minutes outside of the door. I felt very safe walking around this area.

The hotel is in walking distance or a short drive to terrific restaurants and public transit. My husband was able to take the metra straight downtown for the marathon. We didn't eat at the hotel but we're able to utilize a plate and plastic ware to hear up leftovers. The room was spacious and had plenty of space for storage. The bathroom was a bit dark but everything else was terrific!

There are many restaurants near the hotel, making dining very convenient. If you have business at the University of Chicago, this hotel is undoubtedly the first choice. It is 1 mile away from the bookstore of the University of Chicago. The parking is self-park, at $40 per day, and you can enter and exit at any time. Considering the safety of the surrounding area and the parking fee, this price is undoubtedly very good.
