Great to have back alley parking access. High walkability to local areas. Space was clean, neat and comfy. The only downside is how close the train runs, but can be charming city background noise. Easy communication with host. Would stay again!
Beautifully redone older house, lots of space, and had parking. Location was super convenient to catch a ballgame and to use public transportation to go into the city.
Stayed here over 4th of July weekend. Clean house, plenty of space, washer/dryer, safe neighborhood. They are right next the el, so it is loud, but not much you can about that. Good communication and responsiveness from the host. Overall positive experience.
Cozy home. Had everything we needed. The white noise was helpful for blocking out some of the El noise. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again!
The location is amazing! The neighborhood is lively. Great shopping and tons of places to eat. Easy access to both the transit and highways. The "L" does run right behind the house with all associated noise. Prepqre your light sleepers! (I liked it!)
4 nights and 5 days. Great location for anCubs game. Safe area. Very clean house. Plenty of nice towels but only a couple of rags. Nicely stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay there again.
great property with convenient location and great spaces, just note that the noise from the train is quite loud. Comfortable, but it could use a deeper clean and better maintenance.
Walking distance to Wrigley with parking space, which is rare. Subway is in backyard so it is loud - light sleepers beware. Host was very responsive. Apartment needs instruction booklet for checkout procedures and should have internet code in the apartment upon check in. But lovely place overall. Iâd go back.
Communication with hosts was super easy. Apartment is extremely spacious with a large, open concept layout (kitchen, dining area, and living room) on the 1st floor and 3 generously sized bedrooms on the 2nd floor. There is parking right behind the building, which is located within a short 5 minute walk to Wrigley Field and 2 different "El" stops.
The pros: Stephanie was very prompt in answering questions and requests both before and during our stay. The house is beautifully decorated with plenty of seating in the living room and the kitchen/dining room. The beds are very comfortable. The location can't be beat. Wrigley Field is a 2 minute walk from the house as well as restaurants. The outdoor space in front of the house is very nice. There are two very nice, large parking spaces in back which are necessary because it can be difficult to park on the street. I didn't give a 5 star rating because there was no mention that the train track is right behind the house. It is loud enough that it is difficult to hear the tv and very loud in two of the bedrooms. At night it does not run as often as it does during the day. My son slept with ear buds and didn't have a problem. It is not as loud in the front bedroom. It didn't keep me from sleeping. Also note that if you park on the street you have to have a parking permit. We didn't and got a ticket. Having said all this, I would rent this house again. The good things outweigh the train situation.
This was a great place for our family to be together. There was plenty of space, and it was well furnished, with kitchen basics supplied. The convenience of having the EL just a few steps away made it easy to travel around the city.
This place deserves more than 5 stars! Location was my main concern, itâs seriously a 5 min walk to Wrigley. There was plenty of room for my husband and I, my son and daughter in law, my son and a friend. We hosted a dinner for 8 more guest (they stayed at a different location) and there was still plenty of room. Will def rent again next year for our family Cubs weekend
We really enjoyed this place for a mini family reunion. Great location, super clean and plenty of room for everyone. The hosts were very responsive, too. Very enjoyable stay!
The house was beautiful and in a great location. The train behind the house was a bit loud but we had noise machines so it didnât bother us during sleeping
Awesome house. So convenient to everything. We came for the marathon and it was an awesome experience. They let us check in early as well. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The neighborhood is very walkable and we appreciated the short walk home from Wrigley Field after a Cubs win! Enough room to spread out and play table games or watch TV. We would stay here again!
Our son and his wife live close to Wrigley Field, and we have stayed at various VRBO properties close to their apartment over the last few years. This house is the BEST! My husband and I were in town for a long weekend to cheer on our son in the Chicago Triathlon and take in a Cubs-Brewers game. The location is great - close to Wrigley, coffee shops, restaurants. The house itself is wonderful - spacious, clean, lovely. Stephanie was a great communicator, and check-in was easy. The TWO parking spaces in the back of the house were a real plus. We will definitely return for our next visit!!
This is a lovely, well appointed, comfortable property. We were in town for 3 days for work and play. You are RIGHT by Wrgley, like 10 minute walk, which is what we wanted to be near since we were going to a game and wanted to chak out bars & restaurants in the area. We were there Mon-Wed and easily Uber'd downtown for meetings and then on to Navy Pier. The best part of this property is it's location...the street is lovely and safe.
One thing to know is the train is literally directly behind the property and it runs 24/7. It's loud. It did not bother us because we lived in NYC and are accustomed to city traffic sounds but our friends travelling with us were not. It would not prevent me from staying here again but it is worth mentioning.
Overall the property served our needs...we were not there a ton but when we were, it was comfortable and charming.
This place was the kind we would love to live in eventually. Three real bedrooms and even a downstairs office or air mattress area. Could stay here comfortably for weeks with 4 adults.
Owner was responsive without a laundry list of warnings that make you regret not getting a hotel.
Location was great and especially good if you are a baseball fan. Just far enough that it wasn't rowdy, although traffic on game nights needs to be accounted for.
Sensitive sleepers should avoid the bedroom next to the train, and 1 neighbor a few houses down was rowdy and loud on a Saturday night until midnight. Didn't bother us but worth noting.
The neighborhood and space was all perfect. Lots to do in Wrigleyville and the street was very quiet, amenities some of the best in any VRBO. Our only problem was that it was right next to a train that came by quite often. Pack ear plugs for the nights and you'll be fine
