SpringHill Suites Chinatown is my go-to place to stay in Chicago. Itâs super clean, the staff is excellent, there are lots of food options nearby, and the El is within walking distance. Iâve heard some people say that Chinatown is sketchy, but Iâve always felt very safe thereâas long as you take the usual big city precautions.
Iâm a little disappointed that the flat parking lot a block away isnât available anymore, but my understanding is that itâs a city issue. There is parking attached for $30 a night with in-and-out privileges, which is convenient and reasonably priced for Chicago.
All in all, itâs a good stay.
To get to the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, or the Art Institute, itâs just one El stop and a 10-minute bus ride away.
