I generally really like these hotels.
Really nice room. The bed was comfortable and all the right things in the rooms reception very helpful as I've forgotten my toothbrush
The reason for four stars is I found it a bit unnecessary to charge me £5 to have half an hour later check out especially considering I ate dinner and lunch there and use their hotel the night before in Guildford
Also I chose my dinner based on what it offered on the menu - roast pork with crackling. The response from the chef was not very helpful but thankfully the waitress made up for it.
Lastly I know it's an old lift but the cleaning staff taking up the lift when you're trying to get downstairs with a heavy bag is not useful. It took so long I'm surprised I didn't get charged another £5 for late checkout
Finally my room looked out on the street and therefore someone else's house. My only option for showering and getting dressed was closing the big curtains making the room very dark on a nice sunny day. Maybe some neck curtains or such like could be used?
The hotel is very central to the Main Street, good shopping.
The staff were very helpful and always had a friendly approach with a smile.
Food excellent.

Party was so noisy it was like it was in our room. Shower was scorching hot and not useable.
Parking area tiny and poorly parked cars.
Nice friendly and stylish hotel. Age of building means it’s a bit creaky and the noise insulation isn’t perfect, but I’d definitely stay again. Staff were great. Car parking is a bit hit and miss when they’re busy
Excellent central location. Car park at rear of hotel. Lovely people. But Under staffed (slow check out due to only 1 person on reception trying to handle telephone enquiry).
Comfy bed, great shower.
Expensive.
Poor customer service, upon arrival ignored by the reception staff while
they carried on chatting no apology for the 5 min wait. Spa closed not informed before hand, only booked for a spa weekend away. Breakfast was disappointing for £18 and we were charged double. We were also over charged for parking. The bar staff were lovely and very welcoming.
Excellent location in the heart of Chichester city centre. Striking Georgian building. Excellent service. Comfortable bed in very nice room. Good food.
Bedroom was nice, comfy bed. No room in hotel car park but public one close by. Food was good at breakfast and dinner. Convenient for walking the Roman walls, cathedral and centre.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
It was our first experience in Harbour hotel in a junior suite room which was brilliant in general, the only problem was the way accessing it from the main up the stairs, the alley, down the stairs,up again down & up to the room. The room was a good size & pleased with the shower and separate bath. The receptionist was good but did not repeat or explain the deposit on arrival I didnt mind paying but I should have had asked for cooked breakfast if I knew it was refundable. It was an excellent experience at the dining for continental bfast, my daughter was offered cooked breakfast for free but she doesnt feel to, we all enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you!
