The pictures for this house do not do it justice! This house is amazing, so character full and quirky with an amazing communal space that easily fitted our group of 14. The childrenâs bedrooms were so lovely and thoughtful. I only wish we had stayed longer.
Great space for all family members especially as some bedrooms were easy access. Fully eqipped as described and great for walks. One downside was our not appreciating that the rural location was truly that- an unmade road is the last section of the access. Not a problem in itself, but as we had wedding transport pre-arranged we had to do some on the spot revisions for those with mobility issues. Didn't detract from our stay.
Great location for an early family xmas weekend away.
Very social dining/lounge entertaining space with everything we needed.
Lovely walks straight out the front door too.
Would definitely recommend. .
Long weekend for 12 including 6 kids under 11. A great stay in an amazing and quirky cottage. Loads of room for everyone to have space and yet get together for meals and socialising. Kids loved the huge garden with woods and a stream, building dens and bridges. Would come back in a heartbeat.
A beautiful quirky house âŠlots of wonderful art around. We liked most that the kitchen, dining, sitting area is all in one big room with patio doors all down one side on to the large, simple garden full of wildlife.. It gave a wonderful atmosphere both when the sun was shining and also when it was pouring down with rain. The house is beautifully put together with all you need âŠwe were 80 year old and 4 year olds and lots of ages in between. Kitchen well equipped and all the beds comfortable with nice linen.
House suited our family of small children and adults very well. Loved the spacious kitchen area and safe garden. Great house for hide'n' seek!
Comfortable beds and lovely linen.
The owner was very helpful too.
Renting this property was a joy. The host is very responsive and helpful, and their property is a delight. Lovely setting (on a nature reserve), charming house with wonderful original artwork throughout the house. It's a great place to get away to with family and/or friends.
What can I say about the Cotswolds - is there be a better slice of England? Overall, a lovely place to holiday in. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our stay but all four families plus Sainsburys had difficulty finding the property. The information at the property advised putting in one postcode into Satnavs, then when people arrived at that postcode, putting another postcode into the Satnav. This information should be provided on the website instead of only at the property.
My husband and I went by train. We relied on neighbours to get us there. We had to followed a direction that said 'Foxholes only'. When we reached signs for Brock Cottage, they were very small and dark. We arrived in daytime so saw them. One of our families was arriving at night, so we put out additional signing for them.
Light, airy and spacious home from home with everything you need and more! Children loved all the toys/DVDâs etc. 13 of us stayed for a weekend and had a great family get together, thank you!
We all enjoyed it . A very unusual property & very interesting !
Plenty of room & everything we needed.
Only slight problem ,which we know has been mentioned before, was the amount of 'potholes' on the lanes getting there. Also think the sign for the cottage could have been a little more pronounced. Overall we would recommend to others.
