Spectacular Jungle Getaway
The property was beautiful with incredible scenery from the rear of the property. We were surrounded by jungle which is what we wanted. While looking out at the pool on the rear patio we could see the Gulf of Mexico in the background encapsulated by palm trees and fruit trees which is the best of both worlds. Plenty of birds to watch as well as a white nosed coatimundi that did his morning climb up the tallest of the trees. We also got to see a family of howler monkeys high in the trees.
Outside the property grounds, there was so much to do and all within a 20 minute drive. The beaches and waterfalls were beautiful. Make sure yu take water shoes as the water falls are pretty rocky and the sand on the beaches is very hot. I would say the only drawback to the trip was the ride from the SJO airport as it took us over 4 hours to get to Casa Rana Verde with the 4 x 4 SUV we rented. Plan on spending over $800.00 for a rental car as the rental agencies all charge insurance which you cannot decline. Overall though we would definitely return to Casa Rana Verde.
