The Desk clerk, Stacy was exceptional. She was helpful, kind, and accommodating. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was subpar. The waffle machine did not cook the waffles entirely and stuck horribly. The orange juice was sour. I am not a coffee snob and I donât even go to Starbucks, but the coffee was horrid(undrinkable). There were 13 of us there for a funeral and half of us could not consistently get on Wi-Fi. We would stay there again because the location was very convenient to a friendâs house.
Hotel is dated and did not feel clean. We arrived to a room that was muggy and warm; the air conditioner did nothing to dehumidify or cool the room. Kudos to the maintenance guy who replaced the air conditioner quickly the next day. However, this location was still not comfortable, and we left early. Would not recommend. Oh, and the breakfast buffet was bland.
If you're needing to stay in Clayton, there aren't many choices. This hotel was where we stayed for my daughter's wedding (held in Clayton). The first room we were put into had a horrible smoke smell. The second one smelled better but felt damp and hot. We turned down the A/C and went to dinner. When we came back, the room had cooled but the AC was leaking and the carpet right by the unit was quite wet. The floors were dirty enough we were best of just wearing shoes all the time.
Other family members were put into rooms that were filthy and had to receive second room placements. Again for them, the second room was better than the first but still not great.
The service from the front desk was excellent. She was very responsive.
If you NEED to stay at a hotel in Clayton, you will be okay. But you won't likely enjoy your room.
Staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel needs some updating. Carpet is filthy. Beds were uncomfortable. Tile in the bathroom was cracked. Air conditioner couldnât keep up.
Hotel store freezer needs to be cleaned and everything in it needs to be thrown away.
The red headed check in manager was seeet, attentive, nice, welcoming and hard working. She was the highlight. We appreciated her homemade cookies and warm greetings every day. She is a great employee!
This property sorely needs a refresh. The couch in the suite was quite dirty, grout in the bathroom needs to be cleaned. Curtains were broken, bed was fine, but I probably would not stay there again. The employees were very nice and very helpful.
Room smelled like mold or mildew. Ceiling appeared to have water damage. Sign on bathroom mirror indicated room service provided upon guest-request. Room service came in uninvited. Staff at front desk seemed ignorant of early check-out policies. Could not/did not print accurate receipt. Expected a refund but not yet provided. Will NEVER stay here again!
The hotel staff was friendly but the overall hotel was just dirty bed bugs is a major issue at this hotel I will not be staying here no more I give it a 2 out of 10 I donât recommend anyone to stay there the price a night is to much for what you get.
