Horrible stay, would not recommend, essentially with small children. I initially booked our stay at La Quinta because the rooms were less expensive. The property had a pool and served breakfast every day. Upon arrival, we were informed that the pool was closed for cleaning, and the front desk associate had no idea when it would be reopened. Fine, understand, I assume. Next, the breakfast Monday through Friday was three types of dry cereal: waffles, you make your apples, oranges, and a plastic Tupperware container of ice with assorted yogurt. Whatever, not as pictured, but again doable. I booked the stay for four adults, two teenagers, my sister, and me.
Each day, we had to go to the front desk for clean towels and washcloths, often only receiving one or two fewer than requested for each group member. We were told they didn't have enough. The beds in the room were hard and uncomfortable, and when we asked for an additional pillow, they were unavailable. We were told there wasn't any extra. The room seemed clean. However, there was an odd stain on the sitting chair. If I traveled with a black light, I would have run out of the hotel that instant. The worst fact of our stay is that prostitution takes place and isn't frowned upon; it seems to be accepted, with ladies coming and going with their male escorts freely through the front door and often leaving through the poolside door.
