Check in was super easy. Cleaner was still there at check in. Would be best to communicate this ahead of time versus walking up to a site and being unsure if it’s the right place and well safety. Which get’s me to - no porch lights, no light bulbs in lamps, no curtains. And pretty sure there’s mold or something living/growing in the basement and maybe thru the vents. The AC resets to about 80’ at night, despite changing settings or asking Alexa. Which then leads to the smell taking over. But hard to sleep on a mattress that slants 45’. Had to look thru closet for towels. Carpet upstairs is super dated/used. Much of the space is unusable - the backyard, the front porch is overgrown and dirty, and the basement/home gym is a hard NO. Was excited about the gym/yoga studio but needed to be able to breath and that was not possible. I would not recommend this place for women and/or children.The saving grace - the location. Sure, basics were there and it was shelter, but we did not feel “hosted” we felt like we were crashing in our cousin’s bachelor pad while he went to his mom’s for the weekend. If you like bad smells, sweating, and walking barefoot, this is your place.

The property was not prepared for our arrival. The previous renter had left the property very dirty and had removed a lot of the kitchen utensils and cutlery. They had also damaged doors so no bathroom door closed properly. The laundry was not done nor were the towels dry.

Cute Cleveland neighborhood

This older home was relatively clean and well stocked. It smelled very musty when we first arrived as if it had been closed up for some time. The smell dissipated after a few days of running the A/C. The A/C kept resetting to 76 degrees on some of the hottest days of the summer. We would get back at 9 p.m. and the house was blazing hot and we had to reset the thermostat. The neighborhood felt safe and there are a few great restaurants within walking distance.

Comfortable home close to Lake Erie

As listed, loved the walkable location. Parking appreciated. Fun decor, plenty of linens, HVAC worked great, we had weird weather but were comfortable inside. Families around walking with strollers & dogs. Easy drive to Ohio City. Excellent access to expressways to zip around CLE. Well appointed kitchen with island. Very comfortable for 4 adults. We were in town for a wedding. Definitely will consider staying there again if we travel with 4.

Very disappointed

Let me start by saying the owner did give us a partial refund because of the issues we encountered. However, people need to know that the grounds look nothing like the photos on VRBO. Everything is overgrown, lawn furniture can't be used due to moss,mold and lichen. The back steps are covered with mold, wet leaves and rotten cherries. I slipped off these steps and fell all the way to the bottom. I have several bruises. Inside the house, the floors were unswept and the second bedroom smelled horrible When I went to wash the linens from that bed because they smelled so bad, the washer was full of dirty laundry and the dryer was full of damp linens. I spent my first day here cleaning, doing laundry and changing the beds. Then there was the usdue of the AC we had to constantly reset the temperature. About every three hours it would switch the temp to 79F,even during the night. At times it was 82F upstairs in the bedrooms. Having said all of this, it is a nice house, close to Edgewater beach and very central to most everthing. They just need a better property manager that will make sure the house is clean, the grounds are kept up and the porch steps are cleared off.

The house was fine. It would have been nice to have a TV to watch News. The outside needs some attention. But it work for as I was having Open Heart Surgery.

Great location

We were visiting family in the Cleveland area. We loved being able to walk to the lake (super close) and great coffee shops. Having the air conditioning was great; good coffee maker, welcome bottle of wine, well stocked with books and games and good communication with Tim. Thank you for everything! We had a great time!

Perfect Location

My son and I take an annual trip together. Goal is to visit a city we have not seen and to take in a baseball game. This house was perfect for that. It is located in a quiet older neighborhood that is going through various revival steps. House was clean. No TV but that did not bother us. Walking distance from the lake and restaurants. Tim was a great host, providing quick responses to questions I had and providing local recommendations on places to eat.

Fantastic weekend!

We came to Cleveland for Summerslam and could not be happier with this rental. We were especially pleased with how many things there were to do within walking distance (beach, brewery, restaurants, and bars), not to mention the super quick drive to Cleveland Browns Stadium. Above all, the host was great. I had a special request two days before arriving, and Tim was very accommodating which made for a stress free weekend. 10/10 would stay again!

Location, location, location!

We stayed in this home in the Gordon Square neighborhood in Cleveland, OH, and had a wonderful experience. Fantastic Place in Cleveland

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and uncluttered. The location was absolutely fantastic because we could walk to restaurants and to Edgewater Beach. The front porch was a lovely place to gather in the evening. Tim is an excellent host. We definitely want to stay here again!

Our visit was for medical reasons, and the house was conveniently located. You didn’t have to drive to get a bite to eat, drinks with friends, and just exploring. We didn’t get to really get to see everything before leaving. Loved the location!
