Very clean room and nice bathroom. Window has a nice view. Plenty parking space. Easy to access central city. Staffs are also very nice. It has a great restaurant attached.
The hotel itself is somewhat dated and in need of redecoration. Shower small.
However...what the hotel rooms may lack the fantastic staff make up for. Both room cleaners Marion and Claire couldn't do enough for us.
The staff in the restaurant bar equally friendly and helpful. We would go back and stay when we are next in Glasgow just to see them!
Lovely personnel and the restaurant is great.
I suppose you get what you pay for but there are two issues, one which is unsafe:
1. There is mold growing on the walls in the bathroom, I am not sure it should even be allowed to be rented out. Dirty large stains and holes in wall as well as worn out floors, door handles etc are the case too however they are minor issues compared to the mold.
2. If no one is in the reception you need to call and a robot -Charlie- will answer. This robot does not understand âcheck inâ, as someone wrote earlier you need to mention âmanagerâ and you will be sent through.
If you arrive at the hotel and no one is on reception there is a telephone to announce your arrival asking what you want. It is voice activated and does not recognise the term âcheck in.â Apparently you need to include the word âmanagerâ to get a response. Itâs easier just to ask at the bar.
We arrived shortly after 8pm in time to order a meal before the kitchen closed at 9pm as published. After buying a drink we were told the kitchen had already closed at 8pm and wouldnât be open for breakfast either. We were not notified of this in advance.
We went out locally to find a meal.
We stayed in room 14. There is only 150mm clearance between the foot of the bed and the wall which is the route to the bathroom.
There was mold on the bathroom walls and ceiling. The bath was rusty around the plug hole. In general the maintenance of the building looked tired.
Not a great experience but the bed was comfortable.
