Property: 2581878Unit ID: 3152210Beautiful location. Great views and close enough to stores and things if needed.Property is very clean and well kept. Back seating area gets decent sun exposure at various spots in the yard for most of the day. Fire pit and wood available was a nice addition to the evenings. Night time was extremely quiet, dark, and relaxing.Property has some nice additions for comfort such as heated toilet seats and free wifi included. Plenty of seats both inside and outside. Comfortably sat 6 adults, 2 kids, and dog.Check in process was simple enough. Code in the app was wrong initially but was fixed with a quick phone call. (Cell reception wasn’t great but managed to get the code and get in anyway).Cutlery and related kitchen accessories were in great shape and didn’t need to bring anything extra. BBQ was very clean and easy to use. Extra instructions in the cabin for the wood burning pizza oven as well.Some (extremely) minor downsides:Bed in 3rd room wasn’t overly comfortable.A lot of ants and ant traps inside. Had to double package all food to avoid ants. Likely seasonal and due to being in forested area.The European style door handles and locks are clumsy and difficult to use.Ax for cutting wood was broken and small hatchet was extremely dull.

Tranquil views of the ocean and a wonderful home to have 8 friends gather for some relaxing time filled with laughter. The 4 bedrooms and seating for 8 helped make this home feel comfortable for 8 people. Direct access to the beach in front of the property was nice for walks along the beach.

The house was beautiful. We had everything we needed! The kitchen was fully stocked, there was a huge gift baskets with goodies for the family to snack on, board games, and surely more things we missed as the house was massive! Our host was so quick to reply when we had inquiries. It was lovely being so close to the beach and a few other scenic trails. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and family. One suggestion I would make is to add mirrors or vanities to the other bedrooms so guests aren't limited to getting ready in the bathroom or foyer where mirrors are present (other than the masters).

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! It’s in a quiet neighborhood with stunning views and just steps from the beach. The house was the perfect size, with lovely decor, great outdoor spaces, and a beautifully landscaped yard.The kitchen was fully stocked, and the outdoor wood-fired forno was a fun bonus for cooking. We spent most days walking the beach and enjoying the ocean views. Peaceful, relaxing, and close to great communities—can’t wait to come back!

We stayed as a family group of 3 adults, 2 seniors, and 1 teen and had a relaxing getaway. The house was spacious with comfortable common areas inside, in the basement, and outdoors, giving everyone room to spread out. Bedrooms were comfy though one person thought their bed was too firm, and three shared a small bathroom.The location was beautiful and peaceful, with amazing views and the occasional farm animal sound adding charm. It was about 10–15 minutes to Mill Bay or Duncan, and the host provided a very helpful local guide. The sand dollar beach was about 100 paces away; while the ramp/dirt access path was too tricky for one of our seniors, we loved paddleboarding in the shallow bay (though fragrant at times). They provided beach towels and an outdoor showerAmenities were generally good: multiple outdoor areas with lots of seating, an excellent outdoor kitchen, and plenty of appliances. We couldn’t use the pizza oven or fire pit due to fire restrictions, and would have brought a propane option if we’d known. The house was well stocked, though a few minor things were missing such as salt or a bbq brush. We arrived during a hot spell and cooling was mixed — the living room had A/C, the basement stayed cool, but only one fan was found for the bedrooms. The property was very clean, with spotless surfaces and linens, though some details felt less regularly tended. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a quiet, scenic spot that worked well for our family.

PLEASE GOOGLE "Smell in Mill Bay" before you consider this house.The inside of this house is as promised. Comfortable beds, great cooking kitchen, downstairs space is fun for playing. However: Mill Bay, and in particular, this stretch of beach (Cherry Point) is well-known for a God awful smell so strong that it makes all of the outside space of the home unusable. It permeates even the inside of the home. There is only one mini-split AC in the great room. This does not air condition the bedrooms which get stuffy. You can only sleep with the windows open IF you want to be awakened by the smell at 6 am. The great long table on the side patio? We couldn't eat there because of the smell. The fire pit with the Adirondack chairs? We couldn't sit there because of the smell. We left the home every day for hours to escape it. The beach is a mess of dead sand dollars and rotting sea grass (see pics). The bay water is not always clean either. You have to check daily for a water report on whether Cherry Point Beach is safe. This listing shows shoreline and beautiful views from well planned outside spaces and none of those met the promised. When we approached the owners for a partial refund due to loss of use, see their reply in pics below. They know about the smell and the dirty water, but charge premium high season prices without disclosure of this well known and documented issue.

Great place to reconnect

We had a wonderful weeklong stay with our adult kids. Beautiful, open and airy home - quiet and relaxing with beach access, fantastic outdoor spaces, chef’s kitchen, board games and table tennis. Surrounded by wonderful areas for hiking, wine and cider tasting, and even engaging with raptors. In short, a great place to reconnect.

Cozy and gorgeous

We had a girls weekend at this beautiful property. The weather wasn't the greatest (in November, to be expected), but we were cozy inside and enjoyed the comfortable hang out spaces and the comfortable beds. Perfect Retreat

We flew in from Toronto to attend a wedding over the Labour Day long weekend. When we arrived at the house we were more than pleased with the cleanliness, the layout, the view, the games, the house book outlining every detail you may need.... including when we blew a fuse. The location was perfect, the view... oh the view and I loved how they organized the perfect weather for us. Smiling. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Great property but the management company isn't responsive

We were informed the day we checked in that the washing machine wasn't working. This was an issue for us since we had been traveling and needed to do laundry. I communicated that immediately with the person responsible for checking us in and didn't get any response. I called the EMR helpline shortly after we arrived at the property and again expressed my concerns. They informed me they would look into it. Nothing was communicated to us the next day so I called again in the evening and was again told they would look into it. By that point I had already spent half a day out of our vacation going to a laundromat. On the 3rd day I received a text that a repair person would come to the property that afternoon to fix the washing machine. No one came to the house and when I called the helpline again in the evening I was given the same responses as before. We had also figured out that the front door lock didn't work, which I also informed the management company about. That was important since we couldn't secure the house when we were out and about. After the 3rd day I gave up and didn't call anymore so for the rest of our trip we just left the house unlocked. Also, keep in mind this property is on a beach so without a washing machine it is quite a problem for having clean towels, clothes, etc.

Beautiful location

We were delighted with the location and views. Very serene. We found the path to the sand to be short but steep so some of our party didn’t venture down. The interior is not what we would consider “immaculate” but it was clean and tidy. The condition of the exterior was below expectations given the price point. The lawn furniture and patio areas especially needed some tlc. While this did not detract from our enjoyment of the property, for the price we expected a little more attention to detail.

Perfect Oceanside retreat

This was the perfect place for us 55+ year old ladies to have a peaceful reunion. 5 comfy beds with lots of seating for dinner! Tons of options for sitting outside as well. We so loved the covered BBQ area & access to the beach. The downstairs has a huge couch & ping pong table to to enjoy a match! Lots of wine tastings were within 10 minutes away. I highly recommend this gorgeous home!

Great House on the Water

The house was fantastic, tons of outdoor living space. Sadly, the weather was not great but the many outdoor hang out areas were very nice. There is a pathway to the beach, we walked on it several times. The kitchen, the living room, all the bedrooms, and the basement hang out room were clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property ! Amazing. The lawns and views are wonderful. House is very clean and inviting. Little things, toaster did not work, ran out of saran wrap and tin foil.....was told I could contact the person who checked us in anyway of our stay before 5 pm. Messaged them to let them know about above little things, NO RESPONSE! Also, the frying pans are very old and do not plan to cook much in the oven, it is very small. But there is a beautiful BBQ area when you can enjoy cooking and the views.
