Nothing short of magical! The cabin is cozy and serene. The surrounding scenery is like a story book, I didn't want to leave. The hosts are attentive and just lovely people.
This is the first place we've stayed that it was even better in person. Everything about it was amazing. We were there only one night but it was incredibly relaxing. Would definitely stay again and for multiple nights.
We loved the pictures when we saw the trappers cabin online but honestly, the pictures donât do justice to the heart that the host puts into making your stay more than just somewhere to stay. She treated us with an unexpected gift for our anniversary, she treated us when we arrived, and always attended to our needs with such promptness. You can tell her heart and pride goes into every area of her work. We have already told friends and family about this perfect getaway in the woods. We are delighted to know we have a place to always visit now in Idaho because we will be back!! Thank you so much Michelle for helping us make wonderful memories for our one year wedding anniversary!
This cabin was so adorable! We stayed here on our wedding night. The host was so sweet to add some romantic touches for us! It was a night quiet location and had everything we needed! We will definitely be back đ
Trapper's Cabin was the perfect landing spot after a lovely dinner at Candle in the Woods in Athol, about 20 minutes away. Not only was our meal the best we've ever had, the Trapper's was the sweetest, coziest place to land. So many personal touches--the hosts really made us feel at home. And the bathroom was far nicer than advertised...even though it is accessed by several footsteps around the side of the cabin, it is very well appointed with attention paid to every detail. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoor patio area but would love to return and do so! Would highly recommend this spot!
Trappers Cabin is a beautiful and quiet get away. The log cabin itself was first rate, the interior design and furnishings with the wood burning stove were perfect. The grounds were nicely landscaped and the patio with the built in bbq and fire place were great. The host was very kind and professional checking with us to see if we had any concerns or needs ie. additional coffee, creamer etc. We plan to revisit Trappers Cabin in the future, maybe our 41st aniversary
This little cabin was absolutely charming!! What a special little cabin, tucked into the trees. The cabin was spotless, and stocked with what we needed. Owners were sweet and helpful.
This was more like glamping. The cabin was exceptional. No detail was overlooked. Climbing the ladder to the bedroom could be challenging for some. We had turkey and deer visit us daily. What a great property.
Our stay at the Trapper's Cabin was wonderful! The grounds are beautiful and we loved enjoying time outside at a lovely patio table enjoying the deer, wild turkey, squirrels, and variety of birds. The cabin itself is not big, but that encourages you to stay outside where it is relaxing and comfortable. Our host, Michelle, was a pleasure to interact with and gave great recommendations on activities and restaurants. Overall, we had a very pleasant time!
Great little cabin, very clean, nice furniture, excellent A/C unit. The bathroom and refrigerator are located outside of the actual cabin, something to be aware of. The loft bed is accessed via a logwood ladder with large, round rungs (little rough on the feet climbing it). Overall, a great place to stay for a few days!
The online pictures were beautiful thanks to the use of the wide-angle lens camera. In reality, the place is tiny and full of stuff. So much stuff that two suitcases could not find a place to fit. The bedroom is entered via a ladder. If you fall, you'd land right on the wood burning stove. The bed coverings are a fake bear material. With virtually no space in the loft bedroom, there is no place to store it. Temperature was high 90's, so no need for such a bed covering. Also, the only "air conditioning" was a ceiling fan. The owner's son approached us by running and shouting that we weren't allowed to park in front of the cabin but 100 yards away. Not a very pleasant greeting. The final straw was the bathroom located in a room attached to the cabin but accessed by going outside and around to the back of the cabin. In order to use the toilet, a plastic bag needed to be inserted into the bowl first. Goodness only knows what one does once you deposited whatever into it! We left, and to date, no one has contacted to see if we were all right. Ten cents says this review will not be posted thereby tarnishing all the 5-star ratings as seen on the VRBO website.
I suspect they were posted by friends and relatives who are probably well below the age of 50!
Would not recommend this cabin to anyone.
Absolutely lovely property that looks out of a storybook. Some quirky things: you have use of the grill but only disposable flatware so eating the steaks we bought was comedic. And the fridge is 30 feet from the cabin so grabbing drinks when it was pouring rain was also interesting. We would absolutely stay again as the property is picturesque and quiet, but I might have liked to know beforehand I was going to have to walk outside at night to use the restroom. All in all a fun adventure and beautiful place to spend some time!
We really enjoyed staying at the cabins. It was such a nice little escape for us. So much attention was given to all of the little things. Would definitely stay again!
