Great rural retreat!

If you are looking for something away from the crowds, this is it. Lovely rural location within easy drive of attractions. Shopping nearby. Great host who provided insight into our activities. Home was clean and neat and as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Lovely stay

We are two friends touring Portugal. We had a lovely stay here. House as advertised. The owners met us on arrival. Had snacks for us and recommended dining on a pre printed sheet. Loved having space to spread out and relax at end of the day. Would stay here again.

Beautiful villa, very well equipped, lovely family who were so helpful throughout our stay. Despite the very high temperature outside the villa stayed lovely and cool. Nice small shop 3 min walk away with many of the staples. Coimbra is a great town 25 mins away for days and nights out, great restaurants and supermarkets. Def need car to get about.

Small Village Getaway

After contact the owners on our arrival, we were met by a very friendly couple that showed us around the home. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed staying in the small village outside of Coimbra. We have plenty of bedrooms and baths for the three of us. We enjoyed driving around to explore the restaurants in the different villages surrounding Coimbra which was different than being in the city.

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad en genoten van de ruimte om het huis en het zwembad. Zeer goed contact met de eigenaar. In het kleine dorpje zijn 2 kleine supermarkten waar je bijna alles kunt kopen. Coimbra en de stranden zijn vanaf hier goed te bereiken.

Complete woning met super vriendelijke eigenaren.

We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad. Alles wat je maar kan wensen is in de woning aanwezig. De eigenaren wonen after/onder de woning maar daar merk je niets van. Heel gastvrij en vriendelijk. Rustige en landelijke omgeving in een heel klein dorpje. Klein supermarkje waar je broedjes kan halen op Loopafstand. De bedden mogen wat ons betreft vervangen worden maar dat is persoonlijk. Verder hebben we genoten.

Nice respite

Quaint retreat in a tiny village outside of Coimbra. Made good use of the beautiful private pool to recharge between busy days. Need a car for everything! And an adventurous driver to navigate the tight streets. Host was very nice.

Charming Portuguese experience.

The house is typical of a Portuguese home with everything you will need plus an outdoor pool. Lovely country village just a short distance from Coimbra. Great host, helped us find our way after getting lost and met us to show us around. Just wish we had given it more time.

Quaint village outside of Coimbra

Such a beautiful little village in the hills near Coimbra. Great parking in the front, plenty of room for 2-3 couples and the swimming pool was the perfect way to end a day of exploring Coimbra. Coffee, juice, cookies & fruit were provided by the host. The nearby restaurant of Dom Franguito had the best chicken we have ever eaten. We happened to be in Villa Verde during a festival & met many of the locals who were so friendly & gracious. I highly recommend this house!

Our home away from home

From Ricardo’s great communication throughout, to our initial reception and terrific guidance, to the lovely generosity of the home’s owners- we loved our stay in Vila Verde. Felt a little part of the community for a week! Easy trip into Coimbra and then made a number of day trips from there. Great market and bakery nearby, coffee shops and several restaurants too. House was very comfortable- pool and front and back gardens were wonderful! We will recommend!

Zeer lieve en attente eigenaren hebben er alles aan gedaan om te kunnen genieten van Portugal en de portugese gastvrijheid. Zeer nette en ruime woning van alle gemakken voorzien. De privacy is geborgd door het afgezonderd zitten van het huisje van de lieve eigenaren die op gezette tijden komen informeren of ze wat voor je kunnen betekenen. Sterker nog: ook mogen genieten van eigen gemaakte lekkernijen. Erg attent. Plaatsje erg rustig en traditioneel. Aanbeveling om vandaaruit tripjes in de leuke omgeving te maken afgewisseld met een middagplons i het eigen zwembad. Genoten!
