This is the second time I've stayed here, as the location is convenient to my purpose for coming, and the cabin is equipped with a livingroom, 2 bedrooms, and a kitchen. We found it to be a good fit for our family of 5. We DID have some trouble getting up the slight incline of the driveway and onto the main road, as there was snow and ice, but Clint came out asap to bring us some "ice melt pellets". Communication has always been quick! I mentioned it in my previous review, and I'll mentjon it again here... the bathroom is very small. Like, if you are a larger girth person, you will find using the toilet and the shower to be very very difficult. I know it's not something that can be changed, short of a remodel, but it was definitely noted. Last thing of note is that the water pipe to refill the toilet and bring water to the shower, froze, as it was -8 overnight and it runs along the outside wall. If it's going to be that cold during your stay, I would suggest checking in with Clint and Pam on what can be done to keep it from freezing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the Plateau Valley, and would stay here again.
Used base camp as our evening lodging while spending time at Vega Reservoir with family. It was cozy and cute and provided more than what we needed for our stay!
Very peaceful stay. Such a cute little place to relax and enjoy for a few days. Very close to a lot of great fishing, hiking, etc.
We will definitely be back!
The Base Camp is a perfect little getaway location. The property is beautiful!!! Home was clean and cozy...it was everything I wanted it to be. A perfect short trip with my kids before we start our homeschool year.
This little cabin was so cute and perfect for our hunting trip. I loved that it came furnished with everything we could need for cookware and definitely had a home like feel.
The Basecamp is built beautifully and is very comfortable. The coolest feature to me was the back door that is a barn door. In the morning we would open up top half, have coffee, and watch the horses in the back pasture. The camp was clean and spacious. Just a heads up the queen bed was to firm for me but still slept comfortably. Itâs close enough to Grand Junction to grab stuff but far enough away not to be city. The back road drive to Cedar-ridge is phenomenally great. Over all I would recommend this property to anyone. And definitely will be staying there again.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well appointed cabin. Decor was also thoughtfully and beautifully done! We will definitely make plans to go back!
If you're looking to get away to a quiet, cozy mountain retreat to unwind, this is just the place! All the necessities to hunker down and enjoy the surrounding beauty are included in this basecamp. Wonderful!
The mountain passes were closed on our original check in date and the host was accommodating and let us push our reservation back one day so we still got the full time. A great little cabin and 100% worth the price. In the check in binder thereâs a menu for a pizza place down the street that has cinnamon pretzels that are 10/10 would drive the five hours again just for those. It was clean and a perfect retreat
Perfect little house to base out of for our Grand Mesa adventures. Cute and clean. Everything you need and just a few minutes to downtown Collbran. Saw some wild turkeys in the yard in the evening for extra entertainment.
