We were a large family group and wanted some extra space. The catal is amazing with outdoor space, kitchen, antique furnishings, comfortable beds. It felt like living in a piece of history. Kids and adults lived it!
Your unique property met all our needs as a social group of adults who love to cook and enjoy outdoor spaces.
Rachel was very welcoming and helpful. The standard of equipment and flexibility of the property are unsurpassed and the views Devine.
What an amazing experience to be able to stay in such a beautiful and historic home. I love old houses and their character and this home is absolutely full of character. And the VIEWS! Great restaurants just minutes from the door and Rachael (property manager) was very sweet and helped us with parking. Most of the town is paid parking (30⏠+ per day) but youâll want to make sure to connect with her to try and get one of the spots reserved for residents (free).
A few quirks I thought nice to know:
The home does share the downstairs outside terrace area with the adjoining apartment- no one was in it at the time of our stay so we didnât bump into anyone- also the upstairs terrace is far better anyways so we hardly used the downstairs outdoor area.
Access to the upstairs terrace as well as the upstairs living room and kitchen is via two paths- 1. Through the main bedroom suite and 2. Via a small outdoor stair case. Not a negative for us but a quirk I thought might be good to know for some folks.
100% recommended. We would stay again without hesitation.
A wonderful, unique and very large traditional Catalan home. Great location. Spectacular views from the large, sunny terraces and windowed upper floor. Character abounds!
A magnificent foray into history in this exceptional home overlooking the bay of Collioure
The house was perfectly located, well equipped, even more beautiful than described with a view from the terrace that is simply incomparable. We have already booked a return for next year. Collioure is particularly inviting to families with small children. We hope to have both of our grandchildren with us next year. Rachel was fantastic, quickly replacing our room fan when needed and readily available. We were all enchanted with this exceptional house in the middle of Collioure!
Boligen var fantastisk fin! Det var veldig varmt nÄr vi var der, sÄ det var veldig vamt om nettene. Dov med Äpne vinduer men da var det mye mÄkeskrik
Words canât describe how enchanting this beautiful home is. The pictures donât do it justice. The views are better than the pictures suggest as well as all of the interior spaces. The location is perfect just a few steps from the water, restaurants and shops. Wish we could have stayed longer in this charming and lovely home and town. The host was very communicative and helpful from beginning to end. I highly recommend!
Magnificent holidays in a heritage manor with a terrace view of the bay and mountains of Collioure
Despite all the photos in advance the house and itâs heritage environment are stunning. The house offers several bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms and is ideal for large families or groups of people around 8-10 people. The house is in the old town with magnificent views of surroundings. The proximity of several beaches and local shopping with 5 min. access to local market. Easy access to marine sightseeing by boat or going by bus to surrounding villages. One can do many things around: hiking, biking, sightseeing, snorkeling, scuba-diving, fishing, going to a movie in a local cinema , falling in love with the village and the Region and even with the house, appreciating kindness and generosity of local people. An experience above majority of other possible vacations. Communication with the owner and the caretaker are timely, cordial and easy. We look forward to returning one day. Thank you for this time in Collioure!
We always enjoy staying in Collioure, but staying in the core of the village makes one feel part of the city. This property is very unique - it is huge and the antique furnishings are beautiful. Our family could spread out and enjoy their own relaxing spot in the house. The terrace was a great place to share breakfast and the views are amazing. We also were treated to a baby seas gull being cared for by its mother on the roof of the house across the street. The baby could not fly yet and was dependent on Mom bringing it food. As always, Collioure us a joy to visit.
We loved everything about the unique house and picturesque town. We hiked, had fabulous meals in the house and in town and enjoyed the view from our deck. Rachel met us and was helpful and very upbeat.
Perfect House at the perfect 6****** (star) location !
Great beautiful House with so many possibilities to be with a group. The 2 rooftops are magnificent with a view over the village and the bay. We spend all our time there for breakfast lunch and drinks on a large table with 11 people.
Seven of us visiting from the US had a lovely stay in this old, Spanish style home. Each bedroom has it's own toilet/bath combo - and the beds are very comfortable. The view from the balcony is unbeatable! Plus, we had the chance to watch the fireworks which was an added bonus. Rachel was very attentive to all of our questions and finding us at the train station. Be sure to bring your own soap & shampoo. A++.
We had a wonderful experience staying at this home in France, the location was spectacular as we were able to walk to the beach and restaurants in less than a minute. The town is wonderful, nice people, great food, great wine and just a wonderful family vacation.
My family and that of my brothers (10 total people with 6 being children aged 7-17) came to Collioure with mixed expectations. The reviews we had read were spot on. The pictures just donât do the home justice. The home is very spacious. It is immaculately kept and stocked. It is safe. There are 3 kitchens, but we ended up eating all meals upstairs on the patio that overlooks the sea. There are several large tables to accommodate family dining and plenty of separate sleeping areas. There are 4 rooms with queens or larger, one loft with 3 twin futon spaces and one bedroom with 2 twins. We slept 10 comfortably with one bedroom to spare!!! Also, each space had its own full bathroom. That was great too! The hostess, Rachel, met us to get us settled in and also checked out. We had a great time. The kids are already asking to go back.
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt in diesem schönen Haus. Zentral in Collioure gelegen, sehr gut ausgestattet und mit einer Terrasse, die dazu eingeladen hat, den ganzen Tag dort zu verbringen...
