I've stayed in short term rental properties all over the world and never had a more pleasant and perfect experience than I had this past week in Kent and Sherri's home in Colorado Springs.
First of all, words simply cannot describe how incredible the view is. From the living and master bedrooms you have a full view of Pikes Peak with the panorama stretching from Cheyenne Mountain to beyond the Garden of the Gods. Past the verdant back yard you see only the tops of trees and a few roofs of houses below you. Sitting on the deck taking in the sunshine and the views is like an other-worldly experience. If you're really lucky as we were, you might have a huge buck stop by for a visit.
The house interior is actually prettier and more spacious than the photos reveal. The house was filled with decor welcoming the fall season. In the kitchen were fresh flowers, snacks, copious amounts of water (a must for Colorado), and a nice bottle of Pinot Noir to greet us. There were also upscale toiletries in the bathrooms, laundry detergent if needed, plus lots of condiments, cookbooks... anything you could possibly need for your stay.
As for location, you're only a couple of miles from the Garden of the Gods, just minutes old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, downtown, and the Colorado College campus. I hope to stay there every time I visit, which is fairly often. I couldn't possibly recommend any place more.
Thank you so much for your hospitality, Kent and Sherri!
