I had no problems with the room or with the breakfast, both were fine. It was with the check in. I always assume those waiting in line are served before people who arrive later. However, the Hyatt Place worker very clearly was going to check in the person who came in the door after me although I was already standing in line at the desk, patiently waiting. The later arrival dissipated the situation since she then stepped back and agreed for me to go first since I was in line already. I think the Hyatt Place worker needs to know that they are the first contact a customer has with the hotel and making a mistake like that is critical to a customer's impression of the hotel. I come to Columbus often since I am an OSU alum and will not stay there again.

The pull out couch mattress was old and worn out. Manager was well aware of this issue. Had to go buy another mattress, sheets and blankets to sleep on. Expedia reached out to hotel to get reimbursed for our stay and was told no. This is absolutely terrible knowing we immediately reported the issue. You could feels every spring in the mattress as well as the support bars.

The room was spacious and spotless, staff was so helpful and sweet and breakfast buffet was top notch for a free meal. Fitness area was small, but sufficient for a quick morning workout. We will definitely return!
