Spacious farmhouse with fabulous pool and garden area.

Two families of four and a dog had a fantastic holiday staying at this lovely farmhouse. The pool area was great and used all the time. The house was very spacious with plenty of room. A lovely quiet location within easy driving reach of many interesting attractions. I would recommend this house to others. The owner was very easy to deal with. My only tip for improvement would be updating the bathrooms or adding another.

Perfect location, characterful barn, so many places to see nearby

The house is located at the end of a country lane in a hamlet of perhaps 10 houses that looks to have evolved from a few original farm buildings (this being one of them). All have good privacy from each other though. The barn is very large and well equipped; the bedroom and bathroom arrangements are unusual but offer flexible accommodation for two families (though one doorway to an upstairs double & twin bedroom is perhaps only 4' high - but this is half the fun!). Its simple but full of character inside - this isn't one of your over-gentrified properties but keeps its stone wall and inglenook fireplace interior. There are an incredible number of dining options with two indoor and 3 outdoor tables capable of seating 8. The pool is huge but not heated - so it's thankfully refreshing (not cold) on a hot day. The location is very, very peaceful but you are only 5 minutes from St Amand de Coly which has a bar/restaurant overlooking the old abbey. It is a 30 minute drive to Sarlat-la-Canada which is a lovely medieval town and just beyond you have the Dordogne river itself with kayaking trips past cliff edge towns and castles. The house is also well sited for visiting prehistoric cave paintings, foie gras farms, chateaus and even the quaint zoo east of Sarlat where you can walk among birds and lemurs. Though the house has an unusual layout which may not suit some I personally think it's very good value for money for the character of the building, its quiet location in scenic rolling, tree-covered hills and the easy of access to the major Dordogne attractions. Adrien and his mother are always keen to help in any way they can.

Super sejour

Un super séjour. La localisation est idéale, calme tranquillité au rdv . Communication un peu compliqué avec le propriétaire que nous avons eu du mal à avoir en ligne et que nous avons dû contacter nous qques jours avant arrivée pour mettre au point celle ci . Le logement est très grand et nous a permis d avoir une chambre chacun . Petit bémol concernant les différents niveaux de pallier dans la maison , si non précisé cela peut être dangereux avec de jeunes enfants . Un soucis d odeur de canalisation dans les wc et sdb du bain . Pour le reste nous étions très satisfait . Seul GROS point noir pour nous , la piscine est non chauffée . En effet les températures extérieures sont très élevée mais l eau est froide . Non bâchée elle refroidit la nuit et n a pas le temps de re chauffer en Journée . Les jeunes enfants ms n y restaient pas plus de 10 minutes et les adultes avait vraiment du mal à y rentrer . Sans ce soucis de température de piscine nous serions revenu avec un grand plaisir Pour le reste c était parfait

Longère magnifique avec piscine très agréable, manque cependant de quelques détails pour que le séjour soit exceptionnel ( équipement cuisine un peu juste pour 12 personnes ainsi que balançoire pour les enfants trop usée !!) cependant hôte très accueillant et à l’écoute. Nous avons adoré nos vacances

Séjour décevant/mitigé

Maison spacieuse, mais très vétuste et mal entretenue...ça manque d'hygiène (preuve les cafards partout!!!). On a remarqué également plein de guêpes, des araignées (toiles d'araignées un peu partout...) La toilette n'a pas de ventilation, imaginez les odeurs...En résumé, une rénovation bien réfléchie et des commodités adaptées à notre époque s'impose pour justifier le prix demandé !! La seule photo véridique et le point positif de la location c'est la piscine...

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Das Anwesen war abgelegen und ruhig genau das was wir haben wollten. Drumherum nur Wälder und Äcker. Man ist in der frischen Luft und mitten in der Natur. Das Haus ist ein altes Bauernhaus was sehr groß ist wodurch sehr viel Platz vorhanden ist. Wir würden ohne bedenken wieder hin.

Slecht onderhouden woning, voldoet totaal niet aan de beschijving.

Was zeker NIET, wat de beschrijving van VRBO opgaf. Slaapkamers boven liepen doirheen (geen prive). Om naar het toilet te gaan of de badkamer, moest men door de slazpkamer van andere.

Très belle région et emplacement au calme. Grande maison qui manque malheureusement d’entretien : inondations à cause des fosses bouchées que nous avons débouché avec la propriétaire, pannes électrique, piscine non entretenue qui verdissait de jour en jour jusqu’à ce que mon beau frère mette la main à la pâte… c’est dommage car les propriétaires sont très gentils mais je pense qu’ils sont dépassés.

Un super séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison. La grande pièce à vivre est très agréable. La maison est bien équipée. La météo ne nous a malheureusement pas permis de profiter pleinement de la piscine et c'est dommage car l'espace extérieur est très sympa. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute, reactifs et très sympathiques.

beau séjour mais ...

propriété avec un réel potentiel, sur un très beau site au calme et avec un vue dégagée, une superbe piscine bien exposée. La cuisine est bien équipée, le rez de chaussée a un charme indéniable. Mais à l'étage la chambre avec un seul lit ressemble plus à un cagibi (dapetite, sans lumière et dans laquelle il fait une chaleur étouffante). La SDB à l'étage est mansardée côté baignoire du coup difficile pour un adulte de prendre un douche;

Bon séjour, dommage que les chambres en enfilade ne soient pas précisées dans l'annonce surtout quand on vient avec 3 bébés, petit bémol pour la salle de bain à l'étage, la baignoire sous la mansarde ne permet que de se laver assis et pour les personnes de petites tailles uniquement ! Petit plus pour la cuisine qui est fonctionnelle et très bien équipée et l'extérieur très agréable.

Maison rustique typique du Périgord avec des salles très agréables. Le confort ménager et sanitaire sans être excellent reste de bonne qualité. Les aménagements pour la vie en extérieur (terrasse ombragée, piscines, balançoire) sont très bien agencés et les espaces verts très grands. Une maison idéale pour grande famille.

La location est chouette mais les couchages de l’étage sont des chambres en enfilade (c’est à dire trois chambres doubles et un lit simple est en haut des escaliers dans le couloir) Enfin, seule une salle de bain est réellement fonctionnelle puisque la seconde ne permet pas d’être debout car sous les toits. Le jardin est très chouette, la piscine est agréable. Le matériel de la cuisine est complet. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Merci encore.
