The cabin was very cute. Had everything we needed. The location was what we expected. Comfortable bed and recliners in the living room. The outdoors area was relaxing. We had one issue while we were there. When we went to take a shower, the water smelled horrible. I know the property is probably on well water. Itâs possible the water had not been ran in a long time which caused a strong sulfur smell. We would stay again if we ever come with just the two of us again.
I didn't have high expectations for a last-minute booking, but I was pleasantly surprised. This one-bedroom cabin is absolutely charming, equipped with everything we needed and more. It was our first stay, but it definitely won't be our last.
This was a great find. They give you a heads up on the well water smell, so no surprises there. We're country folk, so that really didnât bother us.
Very clean, and too cute! Would stay here again.
The cabin was exactly as described and very cute. We did have a tough time finding it in the dark, but that was my own fault for being late to get on the road. Neighbors were quiet and polite, and there was plenty of privacy. We had everything we needed for the weekend and had no issues with getting the place cooled down.
There were really only 2 things that could have improved on the place, in my opinion. The sulfur in the well water made for smelly showers, but I was expecting this and the owner had made it clear that it was going to be like that. The odor did not linger at all on my skin or clothes, so it wasnât a big deal. I also would have preferred a door on the bathroom and not just a curtain.
Otherwise, it was perfect and I have no complaints! Weâll be back soon.
Thanks for a great stay!
House is super cute and was much bigger than expected. Owner of property is very strict with the 2 people count even though there is space for two blow up mattresses. That part was kind of annoying honestly because some families may be more than two and have young kids with them but other than that it was a great stay. Owner also made comments about us keeping the place clean like we were animals. His approach and delivery needs improvement. Thank you.
We loved our stay - forgot bedding but host was quick to send sheets over! The cabin had everything we needed and then some! There are shops close by to get water/laundry supplies and then some. Some people said the street noise was bad but we didnât mind - the fan and the a/c unit drowned out the noise and even thenâŠ.its right on the main road soooâŠ.thatâs going to happen!! Lovely location. Will definitely be staying here again when we go up for hiking!
Very cute cabin, but i have never had to provide linens, towels, and water for any of the times i have rented before now. Loud road noise, and no remote to adjust the ac. Loft area was not available to us. This would have to be the last place available, before i use it again
The place is very clean and access is easy for short drive to Seven Bluffs area crossing for river access with parking $30/day. Leakey is close if you want to eat out (recommend the pizza place) or cabin has all the things to stay in and cook. The bed and recliners were comfortable. The cabin is right off the main road but the road noise wasnât bad at all. AC kept up with the 100degree heat. The only downer is the well water - so stinky but the cabin is so clean that the water smell seems to dissipate a few minutes after itâs off.
Lovely , adorable tiny home, perfect for us on our wedding anniversary getaway.. 3 night stay and the place was stocked with the necessities... so close to garner state park which we had day entry pass all weekend so that was helpful.
Definitely booking again at this location if we plan another garner state park trip
My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay in the Little Frio Cabin! We loved the cozy feeling we had as soon as we walked in. The location is minutes away from Garner State Park, which we loved!
Our only concern was the smell coming from the sinks and shower. Other than that, we completely recommend you visit this cute, very cozy little cabin!
This little cabin was perfect! It had everything we located, and was conveniently located between Concan and Leakey, which made it super easy to get out and do everything we wanted to do. All in all it this place made for a perfect vacation spot!
Me and my hunny definitely enjoyed the cabin. I was very impressed with the upkeep and cuteness of it. The pictures donât do justice meaning itâs lot better once you arrive. We had made dinner with the bbq out in the back and very please of how much of it we had it to ourselves. Very welcoming, thank you!
I would say that, overall, our stay at the property was a positive experience. The location was perfect for accessing Garner State Park. It was well-decorated and had a nice kitchen.
A couple of things to note:
The furniture out back around the fire pit looked nicer in the picture than in person. When my husband went to sit down; one of the chairs broke, and his foot flew up and hit the fire pit. It really hurt.
The chairs in the living room and the bed could have been more comfortable.
I may have also left a throw at the cabin (a teddy-bear themed one) but am not sure.
I would stay here again. I especially appreciate the small details and very nice woodwork of the interior. The metal ceiling is super cool and the sound of the rain was nice. The bed and reclining chairs were comfortable. Because we both snore I should have asked about how to access the loft bed. Make sure to bring your own bedding and towels which are not avaliable due to the covids. Nice to see the stars at night. Great little cabin.
My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the tiny home cabin. It allowed us to just âslow downâ and be reminded how simple it is to just âbe.â
Upon our arrival there was a âsmellâ in the cabin that may have just come from possibly flushing out the septic or something. However the next morning the cabin smelled fine and there wasnât any other âsmellsâ after that. So if you experience that on your stay just be aware it goes away.
The AC unit in the cabin does cool however it isnât âcoldâ in over 100 degree weather. We went and got a portable AC to help cool the front of the cabin. Once we did that it felt much better.
The overall stay was fantastic. The cabin was extremely clean, kitchen âstuffâ was provided, the bed was comfortable, the location was perfect to Garner State Park, the mercantile in Leakey was a quick short drive and it was quiet.
I highly recommend this little tiny home cabin for a getaway just to get back to simplicity and refresh your energy.
It was a piece of Heaven for the 4 nights we were there. Very enjoyable!
