Icemaker was broken on our floor (only one on every odd floor). Room Door frequently jammed and was poorly seated. Room maintenance is non-existent - (unless you request it. Everything is ala cart and a bit pricey. (Crab cakes wee actually pretty good though). Loud music played at 7:00 am throughout the hotel is really pretty annoying.

We chose to stay at this hotel specifically because it advertised that UT games would be available in all on-site outlets. After a full day at the Renaissance Festival, we were looking forward to relaxing and watching the game—especially given the $400 price tag for our room. Instead, we arrived to find that the TV system was down across the entire property. When we contacted the front desk, we were told there was nothing they could do because it was the weekend and maintenance wasn’t available. Their only suggestion was to stream the game ourselves, yet the TVs were locked from allowing external streaming, and staff had no solution for that issue either. For a hotel promoting game availability as a key amenity—and charging premium rates—this was incredibly disappointing. The lack of preparedness, support, and alternatives left us without the very service that influenced our decision to book here in the first place.

The price was great for our loft cottage. We loved having a dock right in front and a private boat launch area. We were also grateful for the security guard, Guy, who helped us with the boat launch and gave us invaluable advice since we are new to boating. We really enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect setup for our first overnight Lake Conroe getaway.
