Super 8 or Wyndham in general is not a hotel that I would normally book and this past stay reminded me why. I booked 5 rooms for us at this hotel on a whim. The majority of us checked in after 1:00 am and just wanted to lay our heads down. My husband and I had to switch rooms 3 times. The first room had a door that didn't lock. We literally just turned the knob and opened the door. No key was needed. Even the front desk clerk attempted to fix it to no avail. He moved us across the hall and the door knob was broken. After some jingling, the door did open but we would have been faced with that issue the whole trip. Thought we were good with the third room until we seen the bathroom ceiling peeling off. We reluctantly stayed because it was close to 2:00 am and every room we went into was hot. The AC is not turned on until you check in. At least our sheets were clean since that wasn't the case with my nieces room. We seen a roach crawling on the door the following day along with quite a few other issues we encountered. This hotel could be so much more with some upgrades and better management. The location is good with a Walmart across the street and eateries close by. Parking was plentiful and we felt safe. The breakfast was poor. A pancake machine that makes tiny pancakes, fruit loops and raisin bran with juice and coffee. Better off eating somewhere else. The front desk worker did his best with what he had to work with. Just stay somewhere else for the peace of mind.
