Our room was not even ready when arrived at 4pm. Was told we had to wait at least 20 minutes. When we got into our room they only had 2 bath towels, no hand towels or washcloths. Called front desk and I had to go down to lobby to receive said towels. WiFi was horrible, took forever to connect and my granddaughters phone never connected.

Positive: Clean, friendly staff, decently priced, good location, bed was comfortable, room had a mini fridge and a microwave Negative: Bathroom was way too small, the sink was so low it barely reached hip level (I'm 5' 7"), sheets didn't fit the mattress well so they kept popping off the corners Despite the negatives I would still recommend especially if you're on a budget.

This was the worst experience I think that me and my wife has ever experienced staying at a hotel. Let's just say that for starters I would recommend that you sleep with your CLOTHES and SHOE$ on! There are definitely infested with BED BUGS ! I can understand perhaps they might had a guest before us bring them there but the chances would be very slim since they actually moved us to another room on different floor after notifying them of the situation. The only thing that did was make the situation worse since the 2nd room that they gave us was even worse not only with having the same problems with bed bugs , there was human feces and urine about the size of a basket ball at the head of the bed along with running down the side of bed frame and floor . After taking several pictures and another trip to front desk office I was able to speak with owner of property and was told that it was after normal business hours and there was nothing he could do ! Told me that they were completely sold out and that the only recommendation he could give us was to remove the comforter and sheets, place them ouside next to our front door and lay some towels over the area on the mattress!!!! I asked him if we could get new comforter and sheets and a few more large bath towels but was told no that laundry was done for the day and that it wouldn't be until tomorrow morning when house keeping came in that we could get our new linens. No joke !! Screw this place stay far away !!!!!!

This hotel was fantastic! It was very surprising, based on the price, how clean and nice it was! I didn't really expect that, honestly. I was just looking for cheap and no bedbugs for a work stay. I was very pleasantly surprised!! Thanks for keeping things up so nicely!

The price is what pulls you in. The bed was pretty comfortable. The room itself was clean. However, the toilet water smelled enough we added a drop in and sprayed with air freshner. And there is a cash deposit req'd, which you dont get back until staff makes sure you didnt trash your room

Best value hotel in Cookeville.

Our room was clean and perfectly adequate for our stay. The $40 cash deposit was a little unexpected but it was quickly returned after our 2 day visit in Cookeville.

Door's do not lock. The connecting door to room next door would not lock, moved fridge in front of to help feel more secure? Front door looked as though it had been broken into, the dead bolt lock had been removed. This lock also did not lock so we had to sit office chair in front of at night to feel somewhat more safe? Tissue shoved into eye hole of door, did not touch looked disguisitng. Bathroom looked as though it never been cleaned ever. We did not use shower as it was just that dirty. Lights were outside lights? Bedding had burn holes and smelled horrific. Screaming/fighting was heard all night long. We almost stayed in my truck to feel more safe as I was traveling with my young daughter. She was scared. I will not stay here again, there was nothing nice to say about this stay.

Staff were not nice. They immediately treat you like you're a problem to the property. They do not like out of towners, which is odd becuase Im not sure who else would be staying there. They make you leave a cash deposit. They inspect the room before you can leave and are reluctant to give your deposit back, I had to show that I had detailed video of the room as i entered and upon checking out, which only then did their tone change and my deposit was given back. The staff harrassed me the whole time. As soon as I parked, in a delineated unreserved spot the lady came running out telling me to move my car. She had the excuse that drunk locals would be driving into the lot and run into my car. Then the lady wouldnt let me bring my really nice road bike that doesn't have one flake of dirt on it into my room. She called the room phone as soon as I entered to tell me about the bike, which she then started yelling at me over the phone. She only changed her town when I had expedia rep intervene. Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else and save yourself from the negative energy at this place. It took me a while to shed the negativity with meditation and finally get to sleep after midnight after a 13 hour long driving day.

Clean, dated and a little strange

They asked for a $40 cash damage deposit, a first for me! The key didn’t work but the girl at the front desk brought me up a new one so I didn’t have to drag my stuff down to the front desk. The towels were very small and the shower spray….wasn’t actually a spray, it came out like a partially blocked hose. It wasn’t adjustable but I pushed the center of it with my thumb and it worked well after. When checking out I was forced to go to the front desk and then wait for a room inspection that I thought took way too long as I even half made the bed and left it pretty much as I got it. My feeling is that is extremely insulting to make me suffer through your insecurity because sometime someone stole one of your miniature towels.
